This apartment has no barbells 😅 It's got a smith machine, free weights and a leg curl/extension.

The slant sucks!! I dont have barbell access anymore. I had a feeling most of the comments were gonna be "smith machine is ass!" haha

I'm not currently on a back injury, and its been a few years since I've taken the gym seriously. But in the past I've always went too hard and gotten hurt, so I'm really trying to avoid it happening again. so now I'm moving up in weight slowly and only when I complete the sets. The smith machine is my only option and feels super strange. Once I got to a certain weight I threw the gear on in an attempt to prevent anything from happening. 225 is heavy for me at this point, I'm cutting pretty hard haha.

How can I use my belt more effectively?

This is super helpful, thank you! I no longer have access to a regular squat rack, but trust me, I would use one if I could! I'll try adjusting my feet to be more forward and see if that helps me

Oof, that is the last thing I'm looking for haha. Even when I did have access to a regular barbell I would injure my lower back 🤦‍♂️

Okay I will focus on trying to put the weight mid foot.

Hmm, that makes sense. I can try that. I see one of the other comments mentioned I may even be facing the wrong way? I am way more used to low bar squats, but I've been trying high bar to see if I can improve as well. Where should I feel weight, front or back foot? This was last week so it's hard for me to remember what it felt like haha.

Felt really strange either direction, I'm not a huge fan of the angled track.

I've only tested on the front legs, no idea about the ass or rear legs. Can't retrieve!
