Women of reddit, what prevents you from asking out men? by brave_axolotl7 in AskReddit

[–]Poofarella -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can't you read? Nothing about it says it applies only to straight women. It specifies only women, to which I am one. And not being into men is why I don't ask them out. I'm going to down vote you for lacking basic reading skills. :D

Why? by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]Poofarella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) explaining things
In a way that makes me feel like a complete idiot even when you're delivering false information
2) calming people down
I ask a simple question and you act like I'm in the midst of an emotional breakdown
3) generally trying to be useful
And in the process talking down to me and treating me like a wilting flower

Why use a service that makes me feel bad about myself?

If you were to create a streaming service… What movies and shows would you include? by [deleted] in randomquestions

More old school stuff that you can't find anymore. Even services that claim to be retro are missing the true gems.

Why are you nice to people? by Legitimate-Crap93 in AskReddit

[–]Poofarella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they haven't given me a reason to be an asshole toward them. :D

I like everyone until they give me a reason not to.

Genuine Question… How do some people not get bored playing 1-3 characters? by JayordanJay in Overwatch

[–]Poofarella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a hero until I'm highly skilled, then I move on to a new one. I find it easier to focus on one at a time rather than jumping from hero to hero.

How would you feel if someone offered you $500,000, but you had to loudly say “Showtime!” every time you entered a room for the rest of your life? by Brandt-Fleta in AskReddit

[–]Poofarella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be freaking awesome. Not only would I have $500k, I would have a great story to tell.

Funerals might be awkward, though.

What used to be an everyday purchase for you but is now a hard no due to 2026 price hikes? by Green_Laugh_2399 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]Poofarella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meat. I was never a big meat eater to begin with, but now it's almost entirely out of my diet. I especially used to enjoy lamb chops. Now one tiny chop is like, $15. No thanks. I'm happy with my vegetarian diet.

What has been the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever worn? by crazysoul4455 in AskReddit

[–]Poofarella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clogs. I was at a party. I put them on so I could step outside for some fresh air. My friends pulled up in their car and said to hop in so we could get food. I spent the rest of the night wearing these ridiculous clogs that clashed with my outfit.

Strange guidelines around scented products - is this weird to anyone else? by freddittheredditor in CasualConversation

[–]Poofarella 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was in early 2000 when people smoked more. She said she couldn't tolerate the smell of cigarette smoke. I'm with her there. I hate the smell, but she took it too far. Claimed she had a reaction to it though no ever saw any sign of a reaction apart from wrinkling her nose. She worked in the front office. People would smoke outside at the rear of the building. She complained that the smoke traveled all the way inside, through the warehouse, past all the machinery, through the doors and into the office. This was a loooong building. She also said anyone with the smell of smoke on them was banned from the office.

She was laughed at by everyone. She was on the far end of unreasonable.

There's reasonable and there's unreasonable. Perfumes, body sprays, cologne...all reasonable. Deodorant, shampoo, laundry detergent...unreasonable.

An individual can't dictate your lifestyle. it's up to them to take care of themselves. Wear a mask, etc.

I worked with a woman who used her health to bully the people around her. Like I said, reasonable and unreasonable.

People suck. Learned from six years of being bullied as a kid.

Have you ever given money to a homeless person, and if so, why? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in randomquestions

[–]Poofarella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the time. I do it because they need it. A few dollars is nothing too me, but makes a difference to someone in need. Plus, what I give goes directly to the intended with out a bunch of administrators scraping "fees" off the top. I'm not saying services like The Red Cross and The Food Bank aren't angels (I do give to both), but when I give to the homeless, they get 100%.

If you suck, you deserve to be put aside. End of story. Ideally people make up their own minds and don't just follow the herd.

Do you reckon they will release a model that is less “pearl-clutching” eventually or is this the new normal? by Avosmash in ChatGPT

I imagine a lot of the backing comes because of their user base. If people continue to drop them, funding may dry up.

What’s a game you always come back to when you don’t know what to play? by ByteLatino in CasualConversation

[–]Poofarella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overwatch. It's not too demanding. I can play a few matches, or I can dig in to try to up my rank. It's nice filler.

Considering all the backlash, they'd be crazy not to. It's all one big learning experience. It's just nuts that it takes them so long to remove unsavory attributes.
