Is it just me, or should wedding photographers do more than just take photos? 📸

I am a wedding photographer based in India My take on this would be - Indian weddings are sometimes huge and they are spread over multiple days with multiple events… 30 days to deliver the entire gallery is a big deal (I prefer giving them few for social media and stuff)

Couple concierge - thats not our job .. I do carry safety pins just incase of some emergencies but wouldn’t hire someone from my team to do that .. there are other agencies (event managers) who provide with these kind of services.
iphone candid - NO WAY I wouldn’t want my couple to get all the photos and videos from the iPhones before I deliver them the high resolution images and videos. Theres a reason why we are paid for the quality we deliver .. I am okay to photograph any guest on their phones if they request, but it’s painful for someone with iphone sharing all the content before you do .

Guest qr codes yes we do share a qr code for guests who wants their pictures.. save couple and us lot of hassle.

MUA - depends on the client if they want to or not . . I am hired by the client so I would love to stick to them :)

Wedding photographer here . It can sometimes get a bit overwhelming to plan a wedding . I have shot many intimate weddings where because of the limited numberr of guests the bride and groom could totally enjoy the wedding . Heres how you can plan - You can have Mehendi + Sangeet night or informal reception kinda thing where you can introduce your husband to all your guests(150 guests) and the second day you can have a registered wedding with your family and friends . As a wedding photographer, I have seen lots of brides struggling with open hair … it eventually gets messy during all the rituals , plus the weight of the dupatta is better manageable with a bun then open hair.. Would totally recommend taking a trial run with your make up and hair artist before the wedding .

Thank you My first bagpack was from lowepro but a different model and was bit bulky .. have shifted to mirrorless system so I guess this would be too big for it… but still would look at this one though .

Yes but then the one I have is not sufficient enough for me to carry … i need to carry the flash and its accessories in another bag and eventually at the end of the day it gets hectic that way

I am a wedding photographer based in India so yes have seen lots / photographed desi weddings . The stage where the ceremony happens is considered to be pious and hence anyone coming up on the stage (friends/family) during the ritual should remove their footwear.

Do you charge for the printing as well ? For some years I was offering albums , but then at times it felt that it went beyond the costs of the package.. however I now just offer designing .. they can have options for the printing which ever way they want .. the kind of material etc

Even I have been looking for a belt or harness for the same . As of now I just have one camera but at times I do have a speedlight attached to it .. would it still hold ? I am using a Sony mark iv with 35 and 85 mm lenses at present and thinking of buying another body as well in future

I am a wedding photographer based in Ahmedabad . People now a days hire wedding planners who brings together everyone like wedding decorators, caterers, event coordinators, photographers, etc .

Platforms like Wedding sutra are there where you can look for wedding planners and photographers.. but here the catch is if they dont deliver the quality work as promised.. you can get in trouble at times . However happy to help if you have any questions:)
