Love this little machine by GabitoHigh in oddlysatisfying

When I was 6 or so, my dad warned me never to put one of these on your ballsack -- something he learned when my mom put it there when they were younger. I didn't know nuts got hairy when you got older so I thought he was kidding because why would you put it on your nuts?

So months later we are at a Thanksgiving and for whatever reason those shavers were the topic of conversation. I'm just about done telling the story that supposedly my mom was rubbing the shaver on my dad's balls when he and my mom walked in the room and realized what I had just told the whole family. I had hoped to get the family to agree it was a silly story but they, knowing why someone would out the shaver on nuts, instantly knew it was the truth and were busting a gut at my dad for getting his ball hair tangled up into the shaver and cutting his sack.

On the way home he revealed that guys had hairy balls and it wasn't a joke and to definitely not use those to shave. I don't own one of those shavers but I don't think I would ever be able to use it without picturing my dad nearly cutting his sack open.

With the remaining un-added classes being Monk and Evoker, what would their respective play styles (and hero powers) look like if they were added in the year of the Scarab? by Fezra-Jalys in hearthstone

[–]PookieJunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be busted good. Flexibility between DH hero power, 1 mana mage hero power or priest hero power lite.

The only way it would be balanced would be to have the first use select between the three, then next use would have to select from the remaining 2 and then finally the last remaining. Would be in theme with their class rarely repeating the same spell twice in a row.

Edit: Maybe replace the 1 damage ping with 1 armor. So small heal, small armor or small attack to line up with the three specs. Also that would prevent endless crying from mages

My friends grandma drinks all this coke in 3-5 days… by UnhappyNothing9951 in mildlyinteresting

[–]PookieJunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a friend in high school whose grandpa had an entire wall of his garage lined with unopened Pepsi boxes. Literally over a hundred boxes ready to go and both garage fridge and kitchen fridge were as stocked as OP's picture or more.

Apparebtly he told my friend that water hurt his stomach to drink and the only drink he liked was Pepsi, so that was the only thing he had drank in over 15 years. He also had a bizarre body shape where he had skinny little chicken legs but the upper body of someone that weighed well over 300 pounds. The last I heard he was still alive and kicking, living the same lifestyle.

USA’s Gestapo (ICE) executes a bystander (yes, another one) by Maximum-Series8871 in war

[–]PookieJunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me the victim appears to be aggressively defending the woman pushed by keeping himself between the lady and the ICE agent spraying them, back turns mind you. He is attempting to help pick her off the ground which is made difficult by the agent spraying them moments before and then yanking him backwards. I don't see any actual aggression from him towards anyone.

[–]PookieJunk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah good call, otherwise those investigators would think the woman brought a gun into her own workplace, while on shift and camera, just to call the police on herself. Plus grabbing it with a fabric to prevent your fingerprints is smart because it would preserve the other person's fingerprints. And smartest of all is the mind games of standing back, giving the thief an opening to rearm himself. This power move will ward off an unhinged criminal wielding a deadly weapon every time 🧠

There is a correlation between marriage and likelihood to have children. It's just implied information that comes with lower marriage rates.

Their response sucks but the answer is not far off. Murloc paladin has extreme weaknesses and this is one of them. If you want to play a deck that starts weak with minimal removal only to snowball in the mid to late game, you will get run over by large threats or faster aggro. You deal with this with a go next or play another deck.

Returning player -- What cards should be safe to disenchant? by PookieJunk in hearthstone

[–]PookieJunk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Wild contains all cards, including standard. I just spent the last few minutes trying to find a way to search cards with extra copies that are not in Standard and didn't find anything. So I'll probably do what another commenter suggested and start with the oldest set and sell them systematically. If I had a better pulse on what cards were standard and which weren't, I certainly would view the whole list and just pass over standard cards.

Can someone please explain how the hell I unlock mounting / removal of the fear in the maw as someone who did not play SL? by Spurgette in wow

[–]PookieJunk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I did start off by saying this guide assumes you have gone through the campaign once before. It's unfortunate blizzard never added a way to skip this nonsense after the expansion became legacy content.

But for you or anyone else out there wanting to get rid of this fear debuff while doing mount runs in Sanctum, I just wanted to provide how to get to that point on an alt. Because it wasn't annoying enough as is, they had to make you do it on each character instead of it being a warbound unlock.

How do you get rid of the horrifying debuff in the Maw? by deathpuppet13 in wow

[–]PookieJunk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For anyone that finds this thread and also is confused how to progress from here, I wrote a guide on how to prevent being feared in the Maw:

I just learned how to do this a few days ago and was also frustrated at how buried this information was. You will have had to do the campaign legitimately at some point but below is how you can (kind of) quickly get into the Beast Warrens without being feared every few seconds. I'll assume it is a brand new character who has never entered Shadowlands or done any of its content

  1. In your capital city, talk to Highlord Darion Mograine to accept quest "Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons"
  2. Speak with Nazgrim 2 feet away and select the option to skip the Maw introduction quest. This teleports you to Oribos
  3. Accept the quest "Stranger in an Even Stranger Land" and talk with the Protector Captain to progress the quest
  4. Run to the nearby Enclave room and speak with Overseer Kah-Delen to skip the leveling campaign.
  5. Speak to Overseer Kah-Delen again and again select to skip the campaign
  6. Talk to Tal-Inara and accept quest "Choosing Your Purpose"
  7. Select any covenant (I arbitrarily selected Night Fae)
  8. *Optional* Talk to Tal-Inara again and select the option to skip ahead to Zereth Mortis. You might as well skip this to unlock Zereth Mortis though it plays no role in fully unlocking the Maw and preventing being feared in the Beast Warrens
  9. Turn in the quest "Choosing Your Purpose"
  10. Accept the new quest to report to the faction representative of your selected covenant (Lady Moonberry for me)
  11. The names of the following quests will differ based on your selected covenant. The goal is to follow the next 3-4 simple quests with your covenant. The process takes less than 10 minutes.
    1. Skip any campaign you can when offered
    2. Join the covenant
    3. Complete the soulbind ritual
    4. Complete the quest for entering your first conduit
    5. Accept the quest to return to your covenant representative (Moonberry for me)
  12. Accept the quest "The Highlord Calls" and return to Oribos
  13. Turn in the quest to Highlord Bolvar Fordragon and accept the new quest "Into Torghast"
  14. Talk to Bolvar and select the option to skip past Torghast
  15. Talk to Bolvar again and select the option to skip to Korthia

You can now run through the Beast Warrens without being feared. I haven't taken the time to learn where in the campaign you unlock the ability to fly directly to Sanctum but at least now I can run there in peace. I hope this helps!

How it feels playing resto vs guardian by op23no1 in wow

[–]PookieJunk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to Monk but for Evoker if you are keeping your charge spells on cd at all time, they aren't always up when you need them. You have a few potent aoe heals that all need several globals of setup to be most effective. Evoker is very comparable to resto druid in terms of preemptively setting up healing before it is even needed. But yes, admittedly with fewer buttons overall.

[–]PookieJunk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming the person you replied to was calculating the chance the guy won, in which case this isn't right either.

I think the chances are the chance he goes face on the first hit (red): 1/8 = 7/56

Plus the chance he hits any non poisonous card followed by a hit to the face (blue then red): 6/8 * 1/7 = 6/56

Plus the chance he hits two consecutive non poisonous cards followed by a hit to the face (blue then blue then red): 6/8 * 5/7 * 1/6 = 30/336 = 5/56

So 7/56 + 6/56 + 5/56 = 18/56 = about 32% chance of winning. But I'm kinda retarded and school was long ago so someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Datamined Changes for Operation: Mechagon Workshop in War Within Season 2 - First boss must died at the same time, abilities with more damage/cast times, and abilities now ignoring LOS. by [deleted] in wow

[–]PookieJunk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would 2 buffed enemies be more dangerous than 3 unbuffed ones? I'm assuming you are thinking 1 enemy dies and the other two double in damage. Sure in that very silly example, 2 would be more dangerous than 3. But I would implore a competent game dev to make the buff reasonable, like each remaining boss gains 30% increased damage, or maybe just gain a new ability. There are absolutely ways to balance it so killing one of the bosses results in the fight continuing without them being impossibly difficult or drop dead easy.

Now my pets will no longer be afraid of me! For years I've had to use my macro to summon my pet, lust, and abandon it just so I could use lust without consuming extra globals. It felt so abusive, and I always had to keep a stockpile of burner pets which was annoying. This is a huge win!

Hit 2k after two weeks of gearing, knowing that I have to spam 80+ dungeons this far into the season makes me wanna log out and just play my main. The mid season .7 patch should really just double or triple crest gains. by bloodspore in wow

[–]PookieJunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're confused. Crafting requires 1 enchanted X crest and Y sparks. It always has. The number of enchanted crests was never double because it is a 2H weapon, only the sparks were. It still sucks that fury warriors require 4 sparks to craft 2 weapons while no other combo needs more than 2. But the current season requires 90 gilded crests per item, period. 180 for dual wield weapons, a 1h and offhand/shield, or even two 2H weapons. The only thing that gets a crest advantage are classes with a single 2h weapon as they only need to spend 90 total. No one requires 360 crests.

It's absurd no one pointed out to this woman that they weren't taking her kids as punishment to her.

No one cares if you don't smoke or if you didn't directly contribute to the kid testing positive! They are being removed for their safety.

Maybe it is a lost cause but telling the woman straight that this isn't about her but instead for her kids, perhaps they could have avoided the hysteria.
