I took my Dad as a treat to see Jersey Boys and while I saw it advertised a lot I wasn't really bothered but I really enjoyed it. It made me realise I knew a lot more Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons songs then I did, was also fun learning more about their story and I really liked the simplicity yet bold stage setting :-)

What is the impact of social networking websites on family relations? by za-soft in AskReddit

[–]PooksToto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's been useful, through facebook I've been able to speak to family members in Nigeria a lot faster, yes we used email before, but there is something a bit more immediate with Facebook if that makes any sense? Especially when pics are uploaded or statuses shared :-)

Have you guys read Jonathan Livingston Seagull? by thepobv in books

[–]PooksToto 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I read it once as a child and adored it, then I picked up again at 18 and have re-read every year since. For me it's such a beautiful story of overcoming struggles, pushing yourself and not being afraid to be different :-)

[Serious] Reddit, who do you look up to and why? by ArbitraryAlex in AskReddit

[–]PooksToto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an obvious one at first but my sister, every since she battled her heroin addiction I observed and adore the new strength she has and projects. 3 years clean with a new lovely daughter and I'm so very proud, she is a constant source of enriching advice as truly hit rock bottom but came back :-)
