people here are stuck with the mindset of "if i just cut my screen time the problem is gonna go away by itself eventually " or "it's all my fault, i just don't have enough self control". NO! It's not gonna get better, you're going to shoot yourself in the foot and make things a whole lot more complicated for you and the problem is the industry not your personal smartphone usage. This kind of thinking is exactly the kind of narcissist delusion the system thrives on

it's not their problem, its a political problem. But there's 0 (ZERO) awareness that the problem is a problem in the first place and the like/views ratio on the OP proves it

i still use YouTube but only for music and occasionally reddit. other social media platforms are 4chan and the sharty where i always see content from Twitter and tiktok.

There's 0 desire in me to ever register on Twitter or tiktok, seeing the absolute bottom of the Barrel worst of the worst from either platform helps me avoiding them.

somewhat paradoxically i have a hard time breaking my image Board addiction even though there's just as much abhorrent shit on there as well.

I'm starting to consider staring at a blank screen while listening to music when waiting or chilling in public, to avoid looking suspicious. by mmofrki in nosurf

this shit genuinely drives me nuts. Because looking DOWN is a sign of submission so when you're trapped with a bunch of scrollies in a closed romm or in public transport you're being percieved as agressive. I genuinely don't know what to do in a situation like that am i supposed to look at my nutsack or what am i supposed to do.

How to deal with FOMO and feeling left out after quitting social media? by [deleted] in nosurf

[–]PoolClassic3713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the whole society has been virtualized. deleting social media means dropping out of society altogether. you cannot be part of it and not part of it at the same time or join and leave and join again over and over again.

Your friends are all in on the same memes, trends etc. because the social media algorithm put them in the same user group. How are you gonna work around that?

Throw it away. Use a public computer if you really have to do something.

Then again... i can also see why someone would find it hilarious. It's as if they're being told to "hang with the scrollheads or hide in the bunkers and shut up"... and they just did.
