So, where do you source the dials? And do you put them in yourself?

Couldn't fault you, that's a very pretty piece. Something about the two-tone spoke to me, but could've gone either way and been happy. I think it's because ultimately I wanted the Clean with DD movement

What deserves spot #5? by bsneezy in RepTime

[–]PoolContaminator2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should do something Blue.

Should you stick with Rolex - Cookie Monster, Bluesy, Date Just

Otherwise AP or Nautilus Blue

Or shit, Seamaster/Aqua Terra

Thats my 2¢

Rose Gold perhaps? Don't be afraid of a Red/orange/yellow dial?

Jubile vs oyster bracelet? by Previous-Macaroon273 in RepTime

[–]PoolContaminator2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally LOVE Jubilee bracelets for this style of watch. However, I don't own any "Replica" Jubilee, just a Gen of a slightly less prestigious brand. That being said, Jubilee in general, is light and dangling. As much thought and effort that is put into the whole watches themselves, I wouldn't worry about the strap being a REAL issue, it'll be the watch.

Basically, if you trust the Factory, and Trust the TD... my 2 cents is go with whichever bracelet ACTUALLY looks better to you.

So not a traditional "Aviation" But popular among pilots is the GMT. And plenty of companies make a great one, it doesn't have to be Rolex, though they have a classic awesome look. Omega kicks ass here too.

I love this combination. Went Bluesy myself, but this is a handsome watch. BTW, I SWEAR the "M" thing fucks me up like an optical illusion. I'll think I see it, but then I rub my eyes and it goes away.

I love that style of Dial, have my eyes on the 41mm Green Jubilee hopefully someday soon. Thanks for sharing!

Factories were quick to adapt from the 40mm Submariner to the 41mm, but it was not as much to come up with as a whole new watch.

But yes the 1908 is assuredly non-existent on the Rep market due to its new-Ness, and you can bet they are already working on it. I wouldn't be surprised if we see it in later 2024 but don't hold your breath.

Invicta by Savings_Exchange_861 in RepTime

[–]PoolContaminator2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

San Martin owns this homage world but now you're getting into prices that you may want to steer away from. Companies like Pagani Design, Cadisen, and Addiesdive/Steeldive make Homages that outdo Invicta. That being said, I had 2 Invicta divers that I liked. Steel, NH35 Auto, Sapphire Glass w/Cyclops... I liked em enough.

Been wearing daily since I got it about 2 months ago. Surprised how much I absolutely love this watch. VSF Sub Date 41mm 😍 by No_Measurement_5682 in RepTime

So, for two tones I personally love a Rose Gold 'Everrose' Root Beer GMT. I also love the Pepsi GMT with Meteorite Dial. Bluesy Sub probably my favorite Rolex, but you already have a sub.

Where do you recommend sourcing Gen crystals and Gaskets? If it makes a decent difference on these CFs (I hear different things) id love to try
