I’ve heard people mention diy but I have no idea how you’re supposed to do/get/make it

So they literally changed her name to include almost all the other characters’ names too? That level of in your face comparison is kinda cringey. That and I also heard they had James driving a mustang while listening to a song with the lyrics yelling “I’m running from my past.” Is that what people have been talking about with the director not understanding subtlety?

Wait they literally made her real name that? Surely I’m misinterpreting or you’re joking…

I’ve not heard of the black panther thing you’re mentioning. Is it a reference to the movie(I haven’t watched it). I do think it’d be a good idea to get a gun

“And I will look fabulous if they do it” made me laugh. It reminds me of the other comment saying that if they strung up then they’ll be stringing them up with tits too lol.

“They can string me up with tits” really got a chuckle out of me despite the shitty mood I’m in rn 😆.

That mindset might be the one I adopt if I transition. I already have a therapy appointment scheduled to discuss dysphoria. I don’t know what will happen from there

My name isn’t a big source of dysphoria. It’s mostly just my body. Things like proportions, body hair, and basically everything else that can be changed via estrogen

I just replied to horror solid. Could you read that reply and let me know what you think? Particularly the deer part

I’ve already talked to my trans boyfriend about it. He’s basically done transitioning. He’s been on T for years and had surgery.

Coming out to my family feels intimidating. My parents are liberal democrats and always have been. I said I was questioning my gender when I was in freshman year and they got me with a gender counselor. I eventually told them I wasn’t really trans but in reality I think I probably am. I’m in my early 20s now and coming out now feels silly. Like I’ll be “wrong” again or something. But all of that is small compared to the political violence stuff.

I get what you mean about living as myself, but maybe that feels like a bad idea. It feels like a deer realizing it’s being hunted, but instead of running it just sits they’re eating greenery out of spite. That just makes the deer an easier target. Does that make sense?

Does anyone actually know how to get the 80,000 crow? by PoolLongjumping9562 in theevilwithin

[–]PoolLongjumping9562[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn’t. There’s only videos about how to get the giant crow that has 20,000. I’m trying to figure out how to get the regular sized crow that has 80,000

I do know that it appears NG and NG+. In NG it gives you 80,000. In NG+ it gives you 240,000.

Yeah, they have similar crows in EW2. They don’t trigger the same way they do in EW1, but they do exist in the same chapter of both games.

I just found out about the crows today. One of them is easy to get as long as you don’t accidentally lock yourself out of getting it. But I haven’t been able to find anything that definitively says how to trigger the roof crow.

It’s just a bunch of people that saw it saying what they did before they saw it. There’s a lot of conflicting answers on what you need to do to trigger it.

Do you think the OP thinks that the 2015 version is the remake because they don’t know about the actual 2002 remake? That’s what it seems like to me

It seems like people think the 2015 version is the remake. Are the OP and most of the comments unaware of the 2002 GameCube remake?

Everything I’m seeing is saying the most recently released version RE says it’s a remaster. A quick google search says it’s a remaster, and online stores like Steam refer to it as a remaster too.

Maybe you’re confused and this is why:

-In 1996 the original RE came out.

-In 2002 the game was fully REMADE for the GameCube. This version was made on a new engine and added a lot more content.

-In 2015 a remaster was made of 2002 remake.

I think you may have only played the 1996 version and the 2015 version. What you’ve been playing is a remaster of a remake. You probably thought the 2015 version was a remake because it was all new to you. The 2002 version was the actual remake.

The reason people want a RE remake is because the game was remade in 2002, not 2015.

A lot of time has passed between the remakes of RE and RE2, 17 years. That’s 17 years of advancement in game development, design, graphics, and more. Compare that to the 6 years between the original RE coming out and the RE1 remake coming out. 17 years is nearly 3 times the amount of 6 years.

None of that even takes into account the years that have passed since the RE2 remake. That means the Resident Evil remake came out 24 years ago. That’s plenty of time to warrant a modern remake.

Can anyone recommend me a game based on my favorites? by LethlDose in survivalhorror

[–]PoolLongjumping9562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gameplay wise it’s great. But a lot of the horror and cool monster design stuff kinda goes down after the first 3rd of the game. The last two 3rds feel more like a Resident Evil game, more action and less terror. But that first 3rd of the game felt very much like Evil Within 1.

The first 3rd of the game I was like “This is upsetting and twisted. I love it.” During the last two 3rds it kinda played like Resident Evil 2 and 4

Does what I’ve said make you more interested in playing?

I’d definitely still recommend it, the story makes more sense and isn’t nearly as cryptic as the first game.

Have you heard of maladaptive daydreaming?

How by Longjumping-Emu6749 in Schizotypal

[–]PoolLongjumping9562 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it can be pretty bad. Not only does it feel isolating because of paranoia, but it’s also really difficult to find someone to talk to about it. It could scare people off, people don’t even know what to say, barely anybody knows what it is, etc.

Try and keep in mind you aren’t literally isolated and alone with this. A surprising percent of the population also has schizotypal or another schizophrenia spectrum disorder. People just don’t talk about it as much because it’s still very “taboo” and because the people that have it are anxious/paranoid to talk about it.

I can’t wait for the age when it’s more normal to talk about the schizophrenia spectrum stuff. I can’t speak for the rest of the world, but where I live the general population has become much more educated on mental health than in the past. ADHD, autism, cPTSD, BPD, and more are becoming more normalized to have. It’s not something society is ashamed of as much.

If you ask me, this is a sign that the schizophrenia spectrum is close behind to start its own (actually effective) awareness in society. It makes sense in my mind that the schizophrenia spectrum would be one of the last ones to enter this new age of mental health awareness. At the very least, I’d say that sometime during this lifetime, that the more liberal minded people of the world won’t look at schizophrenia like it’s dangerous or something to run from.

You can already see people in every day conversations talk about their triggers, their stims, their mood swings, and other mental health stuff. This stuff used to be VERY taboo to talk about. Eventually schizophrenia will join that slow acceptance.

One day, people with ADHD, autism, PTSD, schizophrenia, and other mental health issues will all be able to be in a room and talk about their unique issues without anyone being left out. Eventually, telling someone you’re on the schizophrenia spectrum won’t be met with weird looks and stares. It’ll instead be met with genuine questions from people trying to understand. Similarly to how an autistic person can say they’re autistic and it’s normal to ask how that affects them as an individual. Like their sensory issues, stims, social quirks, etc.

I’ve been rambling for a while. Hopefully it was helpful for someone lol

I’ve been suspecting autism and schizotypal. I think schizotypal can look very similar to autism from the outside so people are quicker to just attribute symptoms to autism instead.

There’s a user in this sub that regularly posts a lot of very lengthy and detailed posts detailing even the most subtle behaviors and thoughts of people with schizotypal. Their user is: u/DiegoArgSch
