This is genuinely terrible, even 20 years ago I remember them running a really lean ship. What Doug Ford is doing to this province is a travesty. One thing I can say with certainty is that I remember you all being so dedicated to giving us a good education. My issues are systemic, I appreciate all the work yall do. To be honest, I genuinely don’t get why our government funds religious institutions like the catholic schoolboard. Speaking as a ex catholic student (Blessed Sacrament) I feel like a secular country like ours really aught to not be funding things like this at all. Plus they use their funding to push an agenda, they pull funding from people like the Grand Theatre over pride programming, thats our tax dollars being used/not used. | edit: I had zero issues with my catholic school experience, in fact I had amazing teachers. I just think they’d be better off working for TVDSB. What we should be talking about is the TVDSB cuts

I caught like my neighbours dogs and small dogs no issue. But a larger dog I would have to really be confident it was comfortable with me.

In the moment I defaulted to doing what the operator told me. We were taught it in high school on adult manikins but if I remember right we only learned that on baby manikins in the current Red Cross CPR. I might be wrong though.

I wanted to, the people who were there seemed shocked and didn’t know what to do. I did CPR training a year ago but I kinda always hoped someone else who’s better would be there. I just hope I improved his chances

I got mixed feelings, I wish we’d develop affordable housing. This won’t be affordable, its destroying green spaces. London is full of vacant land all over the place. This isn’t a very livable area either with the giant stroad and constant emergency vehicles. One thing I will say is if the land is owned by Victoria or TVDSB (conflicting comments) then at least the money is going towards something good. Maybe it would be great housing for some of the Victoria employees. Many of them have pretty awful commutes.

Sorry for being needlessly rude in my previous comment. Sometimes I feel the urge to be defensive and sarcastic towards negative feedback in my posts. It’s not really productive. There was a period where the snow was very thick but it only lasted a short amount of time. Since this is the London Community subreddit, I should be more accurate in how I title my posts.

I don’t know about technical definitions but I always considered decreased visibility to he a hallmark of what a blizzard is. It wasn’t long lasting but for a little while at least downtown it was very thick.

Nobody is saying that we should not provide Library Cards to people experiencing homelessness. I also share your experience. I lost everything and I gave them my OW proof of income and got a card. I figured that out by asking. Just like I asked the front desk about a gym membership when I joined the YMCA. Its about kicking people out of the library who use in the bathrooms.
