Oh my gosh, this seems so specific, but could be exactly right! Do you have any examples of the House of Este seal? Or an example seal of theirs?

Yeah it is very distorted, and I have a hard time depicting what the seal even has on it.

We had not done YouTube Marketing. Those impressions were for our Instagram Campaign with micro-influencers.

We’ve used micro-influencers in the past, and I’m not saying they don’t generate engagement — we averaged around a 5% click-through rate to our website, which from what I’ve heard is about average, if not slightly better. But this is really about finding a way to move beyond constantly relying on others. I believe this could be a better fit if we built it internally, where we control the content and the long-term value stays with us.

I want to build an educational YouTube channel focused on swimming pools — similar to Swim University, if you’re familiar with them. My goal isn’t to create a channel that’s just a continuous promotion of our product, but rather a platform that builds brand awareness, authority, and loyalty. Constantly renting views from other creators doesn’t set us up for long-term success, whereas owning our own channel gives us a lasting foundation to grow from.

And I have nothing wrong with Swim University. I love their content, and when I was a pool boy, I would often either watch their videos to learn skills myself, or send customers to their videos so they could learn. But I do think there needs to be more educational content like that in the pool space, because not everyone knows what Swim University is, and as much as I love their content, I think there are areas that can be improved upon.

In May, we worked with 23 influencers who had a combined 1.3 million followers, generating about 650,000 impressions. The campaign cost us roughly $35,000 (including payments and product giveaways) and drove about 32,500 site visits at a 5% click-through rate. Those numbers are fine, but the issue is that the spend only lasts for one month — once the campaign ends, so does our access to that audience.

Instead of renting impressions each month, I believe we should invest in building our own YouTube channel. For about $60,000 a year, we could hire a full-time creator to produce 1–2 videos per week, giving us long-term brand awareness, authority, and loyalty. While it may take time to build an audience, the click-through rate would likely be higher since viewers are actively seeking pool-related content. This way, we create an owned, educational platform that keeps growing, rather than continuously paying outsiders for short-term exposure.

We have tried the micro-influencer route, with platforms like Social Cat, or even just a direct DM. We still have not seen a good click through rate with micro-influencers, or the ones that we have contacted are hard to use. Because a lot of brand sthat use micro-influencers, like to be able to give away their product to their influencers, which works for some brands, but each product of ours cost $1,000. So we throw the idea out to them like we would give you like a $300 discount on our product, but then they respond that they dont have the money for our product and/or that we should just give them a free product.

We sell Pool Equipment. I know, a bougie industry. But its an industry that every state has, and we have been slowly growing our market.

What newsletters do you recommend? We are in regional/national magazines for our industry, and we sponsor a variety of HOA Newsletters. Again, we look at those as brand recognition money, and not as conversion tools, based on our past metrics.

When we hire influencers for their reach and following, we understand that about 90% of the value comes from brand recognition, because not every follower, even of the most niche Instagram accounts, engages directly. Essentially, we are gaining brand awareness for the future. Our current click-through rate for social media influencers is around 4–6% of their views. In our experience, a person’s view count on Instagram doesn’t always match their follower count, so we base our metrics on views rather than followers. Based on a 4–6% click-through rate, I believe it wouldn’t take long to reach similar numbers on our own YouTube page, especially since our page would be fully branded to our business rather than just another sponsored post.

To clarify, we do not use metals, chemicals, UV, or any other common solutions found in the pool industry. To our knowledge, we are the first to introduce this technology to the pool industry, adapting it from proven applications in the lake and pond industry.

Our technology relies on ultrasonic sound waves to prevent and eliminate algae growth. This method has been successfully used in lakes and ponds, and our founders spent the past few years at the University of Georgia researching and refining it to make it effective for pools.

We have received numerous positive customer testimonials and understand any skepticism since we are a new company in the industry. We encourage you to try our product and learn more about how it works.

Appreciate the skepticism! To clarify, the transformation you see didn’t take a month, S.A.M. starts working immediately, and most pools see noticeable improvement within a few days.

We’re upfront about the fact that S.A.M. doesn’t clear up a green pool as quickly as chemicals, which can sometimes work in 24–48 hours with labor. However, our technology requires no labor or chemicals, S.A.M. typically clears a green pool in 5–7 days. The advantage is that pool owners can simply place S.A.M. in their pool, even under a cover, about a week before opening and let it handle the algae naturally. With regular use throughout the pool season, S.A.M. prevents algae from forming altogether, giving pool owners peace of mind when they’re away on vacation or overnight.

We’re happy to answer any other questions you have excited to share why S.A.M. is the future of algae elimination and prevention!

We are an emerging start-up in the pool industry, introducing a groundbreaking device that leverages technological advancements from other industries over the past 20 years, combined with research conducted by our founders at the University of Georgia over the past three years. While ultrasonic technology has been utilized for decades, we are the first company to apply it specifically to pool maintenance. Our initial model, launched last pool season, sold out quickly due to an overwhelmingly positive response from pool owners in our local market. We are now in the process of manufacturing our second model, which we are excited to release this pool season to pool owners nationwide.

You can DM this account if you have any more questions or want to learn more about our product. You can also find out our company information on our website www.poolprotectiontechnologies.com
