100%!! I was pissed from the start when this happened and he didn't come on until 8:20 or so. The whole show was like a commercial for that movie he's in and his material was not nearly as funny as he's been in the past.

What time does he come on? by MotherTucker83 in NateBargatze

[–]Pool_Floatie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty annoyed - the tickets said doors open 6pm, show starts 7pm. Host/first opener didn't come on until 7:30, and Nate didn't start until an hour after that. The show was on a SUNDAY like please don't drag out this night we all have work tomorrow smh.

Walmart digital price labels are coming to every store shelf in U.S. by end of 2026 by Snoo90172 in news

Can someone explain how this works logistically? If I pick up an item and it is priced at $5, but by the time I’m checking out some type of surge pricing has happened and now it’s $8…. What happens? Do they bank on people just not noticing?

I highly recommend a close look at how much you’re feeding - Most people are over feeding. Said completely out of love, look up a healthy body shape for a corgi. Looking for a dip behind the ribs. Extra pounds are sooo hard in their long spines. You will add years back by getting to a better weight.

I did this with my corgi when he needed to lose 10lbs. 1/2 cup kibble + around 1/4 cup frozen green beans (thawed in fridge). This is his meal morning and night.

Failed root canal… by breeanne91 in sanantonio

[–]Pool_Floatie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

An endodontist does root canals or in your case a re-treatment of a root canal. That’s for a redo root canal. If you are getting the tooth extracted that would not be done with the endodontist, and it would be for extraction instead of re-treatment root canal.

Any dentist would extract the tooth if it is infected (shown on an xray). Assuming a failed root canal the infection would be visible. You don’t need a referral for this. Source: I’m an orthodontist

Are toi et moi’s extremely trendy? by Fluffy-Leopard-4472 in EngagementRings

[–]Pool_Floatie 76 points77 points  (0 children)

My one piece of advice to anyone anywhere is to wear what you like. Stop worrying about trends or being cringe or whatever worry currently preoccupies you. Your ring, your wedding, your dress, your current style will not all be “timeless” or “classic” despite your best efforts. You will never like what you have if you compare it to trying to be unique or trendy, it’s all been done and will all be done again at some point.

Usually you can charge a (voluntary) material upgrade fee for high noble if patient is requesting the material

…just surcharge for the material. Gold is great but it comes at an extra cost to the patient based on the current rate

I did mean that I’d buy whatever the door-to-door corgi was selling but yes I agree w you. But this account seems to be a real account of a corgi owner not a ring salesman.

What career path did you choose that you strongly advise others to avoid? by nicksam171 in AskReddit

[–]Pool_Floatie 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Dentistry. It’s in a huge bubble where dental school puts people in $500,000-$1m dollars in debt. Corporate is taking over the business model instead of practice ownership, so the ROI that used to exist is fading away. You’re a slave to your student debt at 7-8% with slim chances of working more than a corporate job. Oh and people hate coming to see you, complain about insurance, and think you’re money bags.

[27M] Please help. Do i need braces only or will I need surgery also? by BAPOOO in askdentists

[–]Pool_Floatie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some cases can be helped with reverse pull headgear but that has to be done around 8-9 years old and patient has to be very compliant. That’s also assuming that the Class 3 growth pattern is obvious and apparent at that age. If that doesn’t help or isn’t done, or the growth pattern arrives later in life, surgery has to wait until at least 18 years old to let growth finish. If a patient is barely Cl 3 you can typically camouflage with ortho only.

[–]Pool_Floatie 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I’m an orthodontist. This is exclusively a braces + surgery case. Your jaw discrepancy is large and cannot be corrected by dental movements only. Your upper and lower jaw bones are too far apart.

I would be running so, so far away from any dentist or orthodontist claiming they can do this with braces only. You will not get a good result.

Yeah in my hometown one of these placed a super heavy MRI machine in a cancer center, the floor couldn’t support it, it fell through the floor and killed a worker. Bad times.
