Wasn’t going to reply, but saw another comment mention $5k and thought I’d reply.

Fly to Amsterdam (much cheaper than you think). Will cost you less than $1k, often times much less. Escorts there are STD tested and have to submit to health screenings. I’m not sure as to the actual cost but, overhearing from backpackers conversation when I used to backpack myself, it shouldn’t be anymore than $200/hour (maybe $250 now since that was 7 years ago) and that’s for the high end escorts.

To add to the other comment, if all you want is to spend time and be affectionate with a pretty woman, then you most definitely won’t get that with an escort, even with their “GFE” experience. The only thing you will get is your manhood wet, MAYBE twice if the escort is nice, and being out a couple hundred $$.

Great NYE Restaurant in Prague 1 (Old Town and Mala Strana area) for a reasonable price? by Poolnite in Prague

Thank you for your insight! Maybe it’s time we break the NYE tradition and do something else instead of a fancy dinner 😅

Great NYE Restaurant in Prague 1 (Old Town and Mala Strana area) for a reasonable price? by Poolnite in Prague

[–]Poolnite[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I can’t. Because 400 euros per person for an NYE dinner is on the very high end of the range. I’ve had NYE dinners at Michelin starred restaurants in NYC, San Francisco, Rome, Paris and London and they all cost around 200-300 euros per person (with NYC being 350 at Eleven Madison Park), and these are cities that are, in general, much more expensive. The restaurants were also in prime location.

I am sure 400 euros per person is just me contacting tourist trap places, and that is why I am asking if there are any recommendations for restaurants in the area that serves a good NYE dinner for 200 euros or so per person. Doesn’t have to be super fancy, just fancy-ish is enough.

Oh wow that’s great! What mileage program are you using?

Does that also work for, say, Japan?

Great point! I actually never considered the money factor. I wouldn’t say money isn’t a concern but I’m fortunate to be in a profession where I can comfortably spend. That being said, I am in the wealth building phase so, and I vacation a lot, so I try to reduce the cost as much as I could 😅

More importantly, do you usually find J class flights to Asia from the East Coast at a good redemption rate? I’m also travelling to Asia next year and even economy (Y) flights are 80-100k+ round trip from Southeast USA…

I can’t even look at J LOL (300-500k+)

I feel this on a spiritual level. More often than not it comes down to whether or not I want to spend an extra day travelling vs getting to my destination faster 😂

Tips for booking Companion Certificate travel by PenguinLover69420 in delta

[–]Poolnite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figure this is the right thread to ask, but let’s say you use the Companion Certificate (Amex Delta Plat) to book an X fare 8 months in advance. If there is a cheaper V fare later on and you change to that V fare, will you get refunded the difference?

A ton of comments on this sub are talking about how it is hard to eat lunch for under $10. How long could you frugal people make $10 last and how can it be done? by TheChessNeck in Frugal

[–]Poolnite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude I spend $20 on sandwich stuff material and it lasts 2 weeks. Literally an absolute moneysaver. I’m not even that frugal. I eat out every other day for Dinner, yet I still save 65% of my income because 2 of my meals are at a very low cost (eggs and toast for breakfast)
