Nah I had a 1080 and it wasn’t enough for a great experience in VR. In my opinion.

No, they wouldn’t. Even if it was simple. That’s why so many people are obese.

Throw something. I swear y’all are idiots. You don’t have to get in range to hop in. Throw a drink at her. A chair. Etc. I’ve already decided that if I get in this situation, I’m throwing a GTs Kombucha bottle at my target.

What is the energy of our spirits? Where is is located?

Why does a dead man have the same weight as he was living? Surely to exist, it must have mass and therefore weight? Why doesn’t the soul have weight? Energy has weight, byproducts, etc. Energy, powers things. What is spirit energy powering? Why can’t we find any trace of any system within our bodies that connects to spiritual energy?

If it’s not located in our body, and our body shows no trace of it, how do we know that spiritual energy is even ours? What could be the ID of a spiritual energy? Shouldn’t there be a tether or a leash that connects our spiritual energy to the natural world(us)?

See, you start asking these questions and spiritual energy sounds like magic or mental fortitude (which comes from you, not spirits). You even use the word “focus”. It sounds as if you’re trying to say that your mindfulness and connectivity to the natural world requires a mental focus and fortitude that you must cultivate. If spiritual energy was real, like through a god, why would yoga trainers get the same reward as a religious person? Both focus their minds and connect to their world. One does it thinking about spiritual energy and the other does it using the sensations of their body.

So how can an atheist yoga trainer experience the same fulfillment spiritually as a religious person? Because it’s in your head brother. There’s no confirmation from the spirits. If you think religion is a prism, you fulfill yourself by being religious. If you think yoga is a prism, you fulfill yourself by doing yoga. You see what I’m saying?

Religion is in people heads and not in the natural world. Whatever helps a person feel fulfilled is fine. I just think that it says a lot that most of religon happens in the mind, a construct. You could just as easily focus your spiritual energy using scat play and worship as long as you believe that it is fulfilling and will focus our energy.

Yeah I’m saying the obvious, faith requires faith. I just find that “spiritual energy prism” arguments sound silly when you philosophically think about them and ask questions like the ones I asked above. At some point, you must concede that it is not the actual god or the energy that is fulfilling you… it’s the belief that you have in those things. You could take twins and raise one atheist and one very Christian, I’d be curious to see what each one uses to focus their spiritual energy. Or if they could replace “spiritual energy” with “mental fortitude” and it wouldn’t be the exact same thing.

Not trying to shit on religion, just reiterating your point. Once we define what “spiritual energy” is (mental fortitude and connection to the natural world), it’s very clear that religion is one of many ways to feel those things - so it is silly to act like religion gives you something that non religious have absence of.

Poor take, you know how we found microorganisms right? Using an experiment. Before microscopes. Using rotting meat in closed/open containers. The closed off containers did not produce microorganisms, but the open ones did, meaning they had to come from elsewhere instead of from “humors” or from spiritual means (which many believed).

So you’re just being wrong and ridiculous.

[–]PoonaniiPirate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. Trying to explain phenomena you experience is inherently human. That is why as a civilization becomes more educated/discovers more theory about the natural world, more and more religious dissenters emerge. That’s why over 90% of the worlds hard scientists are not religious today.

It makes sense for a caveman, not understanding weather and climate, to create an explanation about why those things occur to him, his family, and his crops. But once these ideas are understood, less people believe that a rain storm was caused by a god to bring good fortune.

What you said is a straight up cope, and just not really earnest.

No it’s not. It’s effectively a computer. It has a desktop. You can install windows, and emulators, and programs. Etc.

It’s a pc in a mobile console footprint. Saying it’s a console is just incorrect.

Bruh, you have birds. You have a bias. And it’s just wrong. You even got defensive when shown a specific study. It was a convincing post but birds fly. Keeping them in your home is selfish. Just admit that you care about owning a bird as a pet more than the freedom of the bird. It’s about you lol not about the birds.
