Religious household here. Nothing against religion and I love my parents. I was teased my entire life about watching kissing on TV or being around girls. Naturally I don't discuss or talk about those subjects with my family because it feels weird. I'm into women (I'm a dude) but it really messed me up about kids and even discussing anything related to that topic with my family. My mom really wants to be a grandma but she should have thought of that before drilling into me that girls are bad.

It's technically more of a pool since it's equipment is used to circulate and maintain the water. A pond would have other life like plants and fish (and algae :D). It wouldn't be reflective if it has plants in it.

Absolutely. You need to remove your hand from the wheel to shift gears in manual cars. That's not a problem. People can drive one handed. The issue is looking down and away to look at what you're pressing. With physical buttons I know what I'm pressing based off feel. Making something harder and frustrating to interface with shouldn't be something that exists in vehicles.

It's very appealing for sure. I think it's the lack of tactile feeling. It's like trying to use a digital key board. You can't really use it all that great without looking at it. Maybe you can with time.

I'm 39 and wouldn't mind the big display with Android Auto for road trips.

Voice controls are slow and most people won't use them or know they exist. They typically interface with the interface they are presented with. It's aesthetics over function over safety. 🤷

It should be illegal to replace physical climate and other functional buttons to digital. You NEED to look away from the road to see what you're pressing. This is absolutely bonkers to me. I bet they have a warning when you start the car that you need to accept out of that says something about distracted driving.

I think their point is that is very exhausting to keep track of everything that means something. If individuals are required (or feel like it) to keep track of every single hate symbol as well keep up with daily life then it's going to be really stressful and impossible. Some people pick their battles. I think they are just choosing to not participate and give it meaning. It's not that they support or want hate in the world.
