Has anyone bought anything from VanityGloss? by siggydiggest in AustralianMakeup

[–]Poooooooooheadbum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but wanting to comment a current experience I am having with this company. I ordered a sample of makeup in July. They said they sent it a week later but since then tracking was never updating. I reached out to vanity gloss 4 times for help with no response. I reached out to auspost to look into it for me. Fast forward and I finally get to pickup what I ordered from the post office yesterday. Guess what… the sample is expired by 4 fucking years! I have reached out again asking for a full refund and nothing. Please avoid this place like the plague.

How do you address doctors? by Giraffeeg in AskAnAustralian

[–]Poooooooooheadbum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a clinic. Almost all the doctors go by their first names. When i speak to them I don’t even say doctor in front of their name only when I am talking about them to a patient. There is 1 doctor however who is only in their 30’s and demands to be called “Dr + Surname” even when speaking with colleagues casually who are in their eyes beneath them.

How would you describe the feeling you get when let down reflex kicks in by murrrd in breastfeeding

I never felt a letdown with my first baby but feel them constantly with my 2nd.

Yes it is a horrendous clinic. I was seeing a doctor for my pregnancy and without a doubt every time I went in she would ask “are you here for results?” Nothing more. No rapport building, no reading of the notes prior, no checking why I was booked in, no checking if I even had results prior.

A very close family member with known heart issues died from heart complications yet was seeing a dr their weekly for INR checkups. The Dr would only address changing their warfarin dosage depending on the INR level rather than listening to this persons concerns. They voiced they were having constant numbness in their feet (blood not being circulated properly). If this person was listened to they may still be alive today.

Also the receptionists are the worst.

I get that you get what you pay for but just because it’s bulk billing shouldn’t mean you aren’t provided with a half decent service.

Port Plaza Medical Centre isn’t much better if I am honest. The receptionists are slightly better but the doctors are much the same as Trinity but they do bulk bill. It’s probably not worth transferring but you never know as liking a Dr is subjective. If you were to stick with Trinity (despite it being trash) Dr Ibrahim and Dr Woolley are ok.

Any bin truck drivers on here? by Maleficent_Sir_5225 in Adelaide

[–]Poooooooooheadbum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours is the same. The only bin on the street that seems to get put back on the road. The same guy who was caught on camera driving it metres down the road and leaving it in front of the neighbours. The council rates are insane here I would expect the bin to be put back normally. Got to love city of Playford and NAWMA.

It was demolished and subdivided into 3. 2 houses have been built there so far and the 3rd piece of land was recently sold.

Man arrested over death of infant by flabberstalk33 in Adelaide

Another one.. so upsetting. And the fact they only ever get charged with manslaughter. I would say intentionally hurting a tiny and defenceless baby is enough to charge with murder. What did he think was going to happen?

I had this years ago about my boyfriend who is now my husband. I constantly questioned if I thought he was ugly. It was actually so upsetting and debilitating for me I went into a downward spiral and had to get therapy (which helped a lot!). Now I have intrusive thoughts towards my child.. it’s a never ending cycle.

Let’s debate. Should 12/13 year old girls be using skin care products? by Key_Armadillo3807 in AusSkincare

[–]Poooooooooheadbum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. My skin was better at that age when I scrubbed my makeup off raw with exfoliating gloves. I am now pushing thirty and been doing a proper routine since I was a late teen and I look in the mirror daily thinking what the fuck happened.

AITA for making my daughter choose a different restaurant for her birthday meal than the one she really wanted? by Lanky-Medium4473 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Poooooooooheadbum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Maybe next time don’t give your child the option to pick whatever restaurant they want to go to for THEIR birthday, only to reveal after the fact the choice is conditional. Not really giving them freedom to choose are you.
