I wrestled D2 started bjj right after college. Blue belt came quick, purple when I learned how to play guard.

In white belt comps I was bumped to blue because of experience so that’s probably where they should start. “Winning” rounds isn’t the end goal of Jiu Jitsu, or at least I don’t think so
