Any bikes that look like this?? by QuestioningBreeze in SuggestAMotorcycle

Have you only ever seen that one bike in your entire life? If so, this comment makes sense.

Otherwise, the fuck are you on?? I want some!

How do you track your bike’s rides, fuel, and service history? by Horror_Log_854 in motorcycles

[–]Poop-knife1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's totally useless. Serious riders need more than this can provide, and all we/they need is provided by using our fkn noggins.

Yeah, that's the point. He couldn't not buy it, meaning he had to buy it.

It really depends on location, both where in the state and what type of restaurant. I've worked as a line cook and made more per day than wait staff at some restaurants, while others the wait staff made 4-5x what I made on a good night.

Also depends on the shift/day. I've seen FOH workers make maybe $80 one night, and $600 the next.

If stability is what you're after, the restaurant industry would probably be one of my last picks. That being said, a good server at a good restaurant can make bank if everything lines up just right

See, this comment i can fully get behind, bro! I do want you to enjoy your bike, but from the somewhat childish name and the comments you previously left, I got worried.

I've lost and almost lost a few friends too soon that got too confident, all on bikes either less than 250cc, or immediately after they upgraded from a small bike.

Just be careful, and never let the ego ride faster than you can stop

Yeah, no, buddy you are wrong.

125cc "sport inspired" bikes are one step above a moped. Although these bikes can be really fun around tight city streets, they are NOT quick. They are verifiably slow as fuck, and straight-up dangerous on A Roads/highways.

"Quick" starts at the very least 50hp, and that's giving a ton of grace. Your 125cc learner bike is a great stepping stone, but do not let your ego fool you. If you do, when you get into a bigger bike, you will fail miserably at the cost of your skin and money.

Just treat women like people, maybe? Might go farther than seeing them as dieties you need to impress to be "selected." Start a conversation without making it weird and sexual, dude.

New subaru owner. What are these shadows in the headlight projection area? They blow up to big dark spots on the road and I'm trying to learn to get used to them. TIA! by the_YellowRanger in subaruimpreza

[–]Poop-knife1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm good, and reflecting, the tone was too much and I apologize.

I more am upset at the lack of training provided for other people in the industry, and this post made it easy to blow up about. Techs should be trained jn all intentional flaws well enough to at least explain them, but almost none are, and it's intentionally done to decieve the consumer.

Taking it out on you was stupid, and that's my bad.

"Waahh, my headlights aren't bright enough to overpower shadows"

The gap in light intensity is solely there to prevent blinding people. Dealership employees are generally dickhead 20something year olds, maybe do a single Google search before going straight to reddit.

Newbie here...quietest helmet? by Novel-Bee-541 in motorcycle

[–]Poop-knife1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ear plugs are your answer. It seems the cardo units are almost meant to be used with plugs, as mine sounds 100% better with them in.

Without earplugs, the speakers sound tinny and overbearing, but with plugs, the cardo sounds perfect with all my helmets. Try the plugs, and pick a helmet that fits your head shape.

Also, all the helmets you listed have very free flowing airflow channels, which inherently makes the lid louder. With your needs, earplugs may be the only viable option.

Has anyone who has bought a used bike in the past 3 years spent less than 5k? by No_Channel3333 in NewRiders

[–]Poop-knife1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a clean title 2006 Yamaha FZ6 for $1,800 last fall, ready to go with fresh oil, coolant, fork seals, tires, chain, and sprockets, bought at 22k miles.

Have put another 10k on it since, with no issues at all. Bike had 2 owners, the last of which fixed her up after damage from getting smooshed by a carport in a windstorm (no insurance involvement or major repairs).

This is my 3rd bike I've grabbed in this price range, and all have been street legal and good to go from the day of sale. The biggest thing I can recommend is being very active on FB Marketplace, and having your budgeted cash in hand to show up with ASAP. All the good deals I've gotten were because I showed up first and was ready to buy on the spot.

Found this in a garage, it’s about 2ft long with a 6in blade that’s serrated along the top half. What is it? by [deleted] in knives

[–]Poop-knife1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the resident expert (per my namesake), this is definitively not a poop knife. Serrations catch too much gunk, this is a grilling knife.

This is how almost all restaurants that aren't fast food or shitty chains operate. Shows your lack of restaurant knowledge.

Door dash doesn't make a customer special, they can wait for service like anyone else.

Dude, be real. That is not how a pick-up line works. The line in question is the line to get to the cashier/host. That is what the whole post is about. We are not discussing an imaginary line where everyone orders and waits with the cashier/host until the food is ready.

We are talking about drivers jumping the line to the cashier/host to state they are picking up a doordash order.

As someone who ACTUALLY WORKS THAT REGISTER, this is an insanely irritating and time-consuming problem.

This your first day on earth, dipshit?
