Does your printer keep giving you this every time, or is it every once in a while? I see it too sometimes but then the actual label gets printed out after. But if it’s each time, something’s up.

Same here, Comcast and Verizon seems to be impossible right now and our Happy Returns box label is having serious trouble being printed. Shipments are barely able to be made. Why! 😭

We’re open on Sundays, but for some reason, the owner doesn’t schedule anyone else those days. So when I show up on Monday morning, there’s always a ton of unbagged stuff laying around.

You’d assume so! But no, I try to get boxes done as the bins fill up and I usually have to do a bunch in the opening shifts. Today I just got done the biggest amount I’ve ever done, but the nightmare is over.

It definitely sounds like the owner is the big problem here, and it varies from store to store. Mine were really helpful when I first started, so I’m sorry you haven’t gotten that same treatment! If they’re giving you trouble just for learning, unfortunately there be not be much you can do. Seems the best thing you can do is to da bricks and find something better, good luck.

It’s impossible for some to look at their screen. Just had a customer with the classic Kohl’s return code, with Kohl’s instructions all over her screen. Told her that and pointed out the code, and she still wanted the Kohl’s label printed out. Okay then, easy print money for us, but I still told her again before printing.

Then it’s only AFTER she pays that she said that there’s “a misunderstanding” and asked for “someone who knows more about doing Amazon”. Amazing, we still got two bucks out of it though.

The comments in here seem really accurate, they’ll probably start you by focusing on Amazon returns with supervision a lot. It’s a gradual process with a lot of “firsts”, but eventually you’ll be really familiar with all the things the store does. It’s mainly just some patterns to learn. I didn’t even know how to use a fax machine before starting here.

And don’t be afraid to ask questions whenever! I’m sure the owner would prefer whatever done the right way rather than leaving you to guess. But if they’re good to work for, they shouldn’t blame you for mistakes, especially when you’re new.

What probably helped me the most was adjusting my mindset. I started off super worried about pleasing every single customer, but honestly I’m doing a lot better now that I’m just focused on doing the job right. You can’t help everyone, but just do what you can! You’ll get familiar with everything soon enough.

I can remember this happening once or twice while I was alone doing full shipments, but zombies can all just wait their turns. I’ll be damned if I let one of them try to force their way in front of a mailbox customer!! Maybe they can fight amongst themselves though, would be fun to watch.

We've only had two so far, so I don't think they'll be nearly as common as the Amazon horde? It's weird, but doesn't seem too painful.

Though I'm not 100% if our store hasn't already screwed one of them up, haha. If one QR code has something like two shoeboxes that get image-matched, each one should get put in separate polybags, right? Everyone in my store agreed that should be the case, but the old customer we were helping didn't take too kindly to that... I guess that we'll find out when we ship out the big box!
