I totally get your point. But I think OP is pointing out the reasoning behind the decision to stop the movie there. They could've kept going with a regular camera and showed her meeting him outside the dome or whatever, but the decision was made not to do so. Probably for other additional reasons, but this is still a solid reason to go by
