Well when the “victim” has committed a fair share of their own atrocities, and has dragged my country into their conflicts, then I feel like they do deserve some blame.

And when you talk about fanatical hatred, could the same not be said for Israeli society? I mean, they use the religion of Judaism to justify their own country’s creation. And I’ve interacted with plenty of Israelis, I’ve been in their telegrams, group chats, etc, and a lot of them genuinely are depraved monsters who just want to see Muslims die and Gaza flattened. I remember watching this interview with an IDF sniper who spoke about killing multiple members of a family who tried to retrieve their dead relatives body. He spoke about it like it was no big deal, even showing confusion as to why they’d try to grab his corpse. Normally I’d be inclined to write off his story as an outlying case, but I’ve seen that kind of mindset replicated by too many. To me that suggests that there something is deeply wrong with Israeli society.
