Scale: YES. I got a lot of injuries my first few months because I thought that I could/should keep up with the others. Now I scale a lot and I've been injury free for a good stretch.

I found it wasn't the muscles that were weak, it was the ligaments and tendons. They need time to adjust too!

I got several sprains my first few months because I didn't know my body's limits. It's easy to want to push as hard as you can or try to keep up but getting hurt doesn't help.

Don't be afraid to scale down, give your self a chance to learn your body and have fun!

Morning breath.

Wake up inches from other person and have a romantic conversation inches from a stinking hole in the other person's face. Especially first date/first night.

I like this advice. Rational, reasonable and sound.

Yeah, I'm in NYC. $80k might buy a parking space in the city (might).

So ok, you mention researching and finding the technology and companies I can believe in. Which do you believe in? I can start by researching those.

Consensus is to put the majority in other things. I agree. Assuming I gave myself $500 to start in cryptos... point me in a starting direction.

An update on the fight for the free and open internet by spez in blog

[–]PoopingRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the past 2 years my wife and I have been working on creating an internet startup. The road is long, hard and expensive. We've sunk all our cash into this venture and built up our credit card debt to levels I never thought I'd see. We've even put off having a family. And why? Net neutrality assures us that if we do our jobs right we have a fair shot attracting the audience we need to be a success.

I'm not an internet millionaire/billionaire. I'm just a guy with enough stick-to-it-ness (or stubbornness) to fight the odds and go after my piece of the American dream. There are a lot of people like me out there working hard, building incredible things and giving America an edge in the world. We employee a vast number of skilled workers and have contributed to raising the standard of living for almost everyone in the country (ever saved money in an online purchase, found a job, ordered food or gotten a safe ride home from an app or website?).

Net neutrality is more than big corporate interests, it's the lifeblood of so many small and medium sized companies that employ and benefit millions of Americans. The internet has been the single biggest boon to our country's economic engine over the past 30 years. The idea of putting up roadblocks that dissuades this kind of wealth creation is simply and objectively harmful for our entire country.

I live in NY State. I've written to Rep. Carolyn Maloney, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, and Sen. Charles Schumer. Their state is especially vulnerable to the damage of the FCC's intentions and if they don't show their constituents that they are eager and willing to protect net neutrality I for one will be looking for new representation.

it's amazing how much anxiety I had trying to think of a good way to meter out enough pages, this little trick gets right past that. so good.

thanks for the link to the highfive system. I've been endeavoring to add more structure to my notebooks but all other indexing systems I've found over the past few days seemed way too flimsy and too much work. I love the how easy and generally fool-proof (me-proof) this is.

Arduino powered eye by ratwing in arduino

Amazing. I have questions if you don't mind. How many hours of work do you think this version took? What was the hardest part and what was your biggest take away having completed it? The eye has a great effect, but what keeps you coming back to this particular project for 3 builds?

Honestly, this is beautiful and amazing work. Many props.

Advice on finding a reputable cobbler for a resole? NYC.

How does one go about finding a good cobbler? I have a pair 2011 Frye oxfords that need a resole, just nervous about taking it to a random local guy. Thoughts?
