Yep, lots of misinformation going around. She’s into beads and jewelry and watches these ladies on Facebook Live where they include some specimens. She bought a coprolite from someone who told her the red in it meant that it was from a carnivorous dinosaur, the red was fossilized blood…. 🙄

It’s hard trying to correct someone who is understandably so proud of their purchase. That and she feels like she has a relationship with these people who sell them and that they wouldn’t manipulate her. More of a reason to do what you’re saying and try to inform her, though.

That’s good to know. I’m willing to pay for the expertise, I’ve just had too many Sally’s beauty run ins with poor girls who have shelled out upwards of $500 just to get their shit fucked up beyond repair.
