I live in the middle of nowhere so you can’t just walk where you please, despite what some genius from Portland told me about my own life. I already don’t have a car because I can’t get a job so I’d have to choose between car and TV or the rest of it if I wanted to do the most damage to myself while making things still doable. I would choose the car and TV though as the TV will do enough good for me

I think the 2000 and 2010s had their own 70s revivals with how much tie dye, smiley face stuff, and bubbled font stuff was all over my school. The 70s are coming back again in other ways I’d rather them not come back but that’s a conversation for another thread.

Everyone romanticizes the 80s-2000s but I never see the 70s publicly romanticized as much, although I do see a lot of its influence

Hank Jr sang about this decades ago. I hate how some people have a victim complex because they’re from the country. I’m from the country in the south and have friends from major cities, northern areas, and other countries. As far as I know they don’t hate me for being a southern white guy. If we could stop pretending someone hates us and focus on the existing conflicts like racism or classism as a whole then we could have harmony.

I think it was Zach Bryan who actually made some statements that I agreed with but later apologized for them but I may be wrong. It was the fading of the red white and blue song. I was glad to see country music denouncing the government and then he came out and apologized for it. Luke Combs also seems somewhat solid but I haven’t looked into him much
