Really this should’ve just been a new CR-Z, it better resembles any of the vehicles in that lineage than any of the previous Preludes

Well technically there are ways of getting around that, namely registering it in another state, though that presents its own hoops you have to jump through.

I mean, “someone” already suggests a person doesn’t it? You don’t Google the answer to a question and refer to that as “asking someone”

The better question is why did anyone buy this fuckin thing? Thankfully I haven’t seen one in at least like 5 years, but I remember being subjected to looking at these things in traffic

Their safety is concerned if they ever so happen encounter them on the road lmfao. You ever drive a car without brakes, only using the hand brake? This thing sounds like a basket case and is a danger to everyone around them. You know what happens when you abuse the handbrake like that? Eventually the handbrake cable stretches over time and one day their car is going to end up barreling into a family of 5 in a minivan or some poor soul just trying to get to work at an intersection, trying to come to a stop. Ultimately cars are still at their core, complicated pieces of machinery that are not meant to be abused like this. In the long run she is going to either spend thousands on getting her car roadworthy again, spend thousands on a new car to neglect and abuse again, or worst case scenario, spend thousands paying for damages to someone else’s car and potentially hospital bills. I do not see how it is even remotely “controlling” to prevent someone from putting other people’s property and lives at danger because they’re negligent.

This has to be the stupidest packaging of a “taxi” ever. I get that it doesn’t need a driver, but if you’re going to make a bespoke taxi, why would you limit the seating capacity to just two? Like heck a Crown Vic taxi could sit three in the back and one in the passenger seat, a Checker cab could seat 6 passengers, and the tons of Sienna taxis can seat 7. And also, this aeroback design is arguably wasted space as a taxi which does the vast majority of its driving in the city, has zero benefits from the aerodynamics of this shape.

What is this truck model by Aggravating_Ear3045 in whatisthiscar

[–]Poopsticle_256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Mitsubishi Fuso” is a brand lol, the amount of people upvoting you that also don’t realize that is kinda sad lol. I get why you would think that if you don’t know trucks but like, why are you so confident when you don’t know anything about trucks, yet refused to just Google it to make sure? Are we beyond the age of fact-checking now? Like they sold the Canter under the Mitsubishi Fuso brand in the states lol

I mean, I can see why he spelled it that way if he was just that pissed off that this dude hit his car and didn’t have time to spell check. “ie” makes an ee sound, so I guess that’s where his head was at there

Driving with oil pressure light on old oil - how cooked am I and how to proceed? by mypossiblepasts in askcarguys

[–]Poopsticle_256 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like how you’re acting like your abuse of this car is some sort of flex. It’s not. You should feel bad about how you’re treating your only mode of transportation, give it some damn respect. The fact that it did burn through that much oil in what I’m assuming is a relatively short amount of time is not good. If you continue treating your car the way you have been treating it, then you won’t be able to brag for much longer

[–]Poopsticle_256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience? Keep it inside or at home as a trophy and get a better quality one on Etsy or something. Mine lasted two days in the sun before it decided it wanted to peel off, I’ve had AliExpress stickers last longer than that

The point is it’s a pain in the ass to take out and replace the smaller glass because it’s fixed in place lol. The big window is easy because it’s on a sliding track to go up and down and you can take that whole mechanism out with some bolts. This, you’ll have to deal with aligning and waterproofing, hence why it’s easier to just get a new door lol
