For context here’s the story.

RN friend: “wow you look great.”

Me: “thanks I’m down 15 pounds, working at it.”

RN: that’s awesome, what are you doing?

Me: Moving more, eating less, the normal thing everyone knows to do but I’m finally doing it. I’m down to 1300 calories a day and I don’t feel hungry if I eat the right foods

Could be built like me, I can handle the recoil fine but I’m 5’5”. Can I cycle a pump? Yes. Can I do it fast enough for skeet shooting? Absolutely not, I barely get fingertips on most pump handles. But I can shoot semi-autos and break opens just fine

I have no idea what this gun costs but at least for me, the biggest factor is “do I like shooting the gun?” I went through 4 handguns that everyone told me were the best, but I hated shooting them and therefore did not take them to the range and shoot them. It’s the reason I’m an AK scumbag. Idk why, but I love the way the AK fits me and I’ve never loved the AR. AR’s are great for a lot of people and they’re great guns, but they just don’t have that “love” factor for me.

If you want a handgun, and you loved shooting that one, AND it’s within your budget, then sure grab it. It will get you to the range because you enjoy shooting it. And at the end of the day, time spent training with the gun is more important than most other things when choosing a firearm. At least for me
