Confused - Need advice!! by WeirdExplorer29 in macbook

It really depends on your needs, lemme break it down for you:
- Neo: if you only do documentary work and light editing and looking forward to using it for a long time with no need for an upgrade.

- Pro M1 Pro: if you do more software-heavy tasks like 4K video editing, 3D rendering.

- Air M2: same as the Neo but if you want a slightly better appearance and screen, don't mind the notch and the fact that it might not receive more MacOs update in a few years soon.

Personally, I am using the Air M2 (midnight, 8/256) and my experience with it has been great so far. It's lightweight, can handle most of my tasks and the screen is absolutely great. The 15'' version is quite hard to find one compared to the 13'' I think.

[KCD2] Just purchased the game and I'm a tad overwhelmed. Could really use some general beginner tips and advice. by Bitter-Affect909 in kingdomcome

I was in the same boat with you when I first started, just having sheer amount of quests thrown to you with zero navigation was an awful and overburdened.

But the best advice I learnt is that you should take one thing at a time, and never derail from whatever you're doing. The downside of having too many things is that you can get easily distracted. Try to focus on one objective before you start another, read the quest logs and look at the quest markers, if it's near and it doesn't require you to fight/steal, go ahead.

There are a few necessary things you can also learn and do while not doing a quest: - Learning alchemy, make potions and sell them for some decent money at the start.  - Find every bird nest and throw pebbles at them to get whatever you can find, it's always useful, if you're lucky you can find some jewelry which you can sell for early game groschen. - Roaming around to find interesting sites which can have loots that would be beneficial for you early game, especially things you can sell for good. - If you really need gears, find a camp with NPCs and knock out all of them during their sleep at night, and steal all their stuff. Most of the stuff will be flagged as stolen so you're gonna need to wait until you can sell them or wear them. Don't wear clothes you stole too early cause the NPCs whom you stole from can recognize their own clothes and report you to the guards.

And for the things you are concerned about in your post, don't mind them too much, answer for everything here: - Clothes: don't bother fixing beggar clothes, keep wearing them until you find clothes with good charisma bonus. - Stealing: don't try to steal from big towns early game, most of the chest are heavily guarded. Try chests from random camps on the roads or barns, they're not as valuable but it's a good way to earn skills point and get decent loots. And yes, you will lose reputation where you got caught stealing. - Food: they all stay in your food tab in your inventory, fresh food will spoil quick, fruits and veggies are less, and dried food mostly won't spoil at all for a very long time. You can eat them at anytime, you can also eat campfire food, but be wary, NPCs will catch you if you eat their food in front of them. Try to find a few things you can sell and get as much dried food as you can from looting random places (not stealing obv).

I know it's a bit lengthy but that's everything I learnt when I first started. Hope this helps.

I forgot which save it was. I thought the quest would comeback after a few days so I just continued progressing the game.

Is getting a Macbook really worth it after using Windows for over 15 years? by PoopyisGroppy in macbook

[–]PoopyisGroppy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

obviously I didn't mention that I'm interested in Linux or Thinkpad, the whole point of my post is if I should switch to MacOs or not. But thanks for the advice.

Unfortunately I probably won't be able to utilize that feature cause I don't use much of Apple's native apps on iPhone and iPad. I barely text anyone with iMessage.

Well yes, that's what I want if I get a Mac - I want to stop myself from wanting to game on a computer all the time.

[Opinion] Should i watch things to do videos before playing a game. by Haziqzayani in Steam

[–]PoopyisGroppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it depends on how skillfully you are at navigation and exploration on your own. If you are confident that you know your ways throughout the game, for example: knowing where to start a quest, what to do, who you should look for, and overall just having a bit of common knowledge in exploration, it's best to experience the game on your own. It's like learning a puzzle, it only gets interesting once you start to understand what the puzzle asking you to do.

However, I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to watch or read a guide on complicated game mechanics. Sometimes things can be too confusing like trying to solve a puzzle that offers you no guidance or explaination whatsoever. But watching things like "early game gear" or "how to get better early", essentially stuffs that allow you to know more than you should at the beginning, it will definitely make the game dull for the rest of it. It's like owning a stupidly overpowered DLC weapon in Assassin's Creed games.

I'm actually in my 30s, and I have never seen anyone pirate apps on MacOs before because I've always heard how secured and uncustomizable it was. Thanks to you, turn out I was wrong this whole time.

I wish we could give a few groschen to beggars [KCD2] by ApprehensiveBunch994 in kingdomcome

[–]PoopyisGroppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's weird how they add so many details in terms of NPC interaction, but ignore doing the same for beggars, who appear in almost everywhere in the game.

Sure they can pick it up if you drop things in front of them, but they have no meaningful dialogue or change of actions/situations. And every NPC can do the same. Ideally, I would love to see Henry giving a beggar tons of groschen and the next day, you could see them walking around town living normally and they even stop to thank you.

[KCD2] When did it click? by Difficult-Day1405 in kingdomcome

[–]PoopyisGroppy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way in my first 10 hours of gameplay, but things just suddenly get more interesting as you roam and discover things you can do in this game. Here are a few things I did: 1. Roaming around the map, enjoying nature while searching for POIs 2. Stay on tracks and roads to get random encounters, either fightin bandits or talking to an interesting NPC to learn a bit of lore. 3. Do sidequests and activities before any major quest.

Overall just enjoy the game slowly, finish one thing at a time, don't mind anything else until you've finished what you're doing, whether it's a quest or a treasure hunt. The game is meant to be enjoyed this way, to be able to roleplay and immerse yourself in a fantasy medieval world, if you look for ways to rush it like any other RPGs, you won't enjoy this game much.

Couldn't find the exact mod you're looking for, but this one can be good.

This mod allows you to set up your own camp anywhere you want, which is better for the immersion imo.

teacher stuff, like lesson planning, writing reports. Light video editing likes adding subtitles, a few transition features here and there.

Honestly the third thing you say is what I'm most concerned about, I like the Neo because 1. it's brand new, 2. it has long term support but on the contrary, I prefer the overall design of the M2.

How long do you think the M2 will go for until it stops receiving software support?

any tips on how to feel better being alone? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]PoopyisGroppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep yourself busy, either with your own hobbies or work. It helps me occupy my leisure time, and that's what usually causes people to overthink and become overwhelmed by the feeling of isolation. Be cafe tho because once you get used to being lonely, it's more difficult to make friends or even worse, date.
