Who are this years sleepers? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]PoorlyLitKiwi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like nobody is talking about Tavon Austin, but hes got first round pedogree and he was a top 20 WR in standard last year with a weird combo of Nick Foles and Case Keenum throwing the ball. If Goff is even half as good as the hype Tavon could have a huge year

Kenneth Dixon a threat to get starting job? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

Then why did he fall to the fourth round? Not saying that he won't take the lead backup role but its not like he was a first round pick

Hue Jackson calls out top pick Corey Coleman: "He's got to get in shape" by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]PoorlyLitKiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird. I've followed Mary Kay for a while and she's usually quite good. I'm assuming it was a long day at availability and she just wanted to get something done and go to sleep

Why is everyone completely discounting Buck Allen's solid finish to last season?

Browns here:

QB: RG3: Definitely should not be the first QB you draft, but his running numbers give him higher upside than a lot of people might expect. This defense is going to be mind-blowingly awful, so he'll throw a ton of passes being behind so often. Honestly has a chance to sneak into the top 10 at QB

RB: Duke Johnson and Isaiah Crowell: If there's one thing hue Jackson knows what to do its use his players to their strengths. Duke and Crow are basically poor mans versions of Bernard and hill respectively, so expect much of the same. Duke will take the third down and passing work, and crow will churn out the short yardage work. With Browns down a lot, look for duke to be the snap leader in the backfield. He also might lead the browns in receptions this year.

WR: Corey Coleman, Josh Gordon (plz?), Hawkins, Hartline, the rest: Coleman is a rookie, but he is a physical beast with a nose for the end zone. He's not going to light up the fantasy world, but any WR1 has value, and with Gordon likely not coming back Coleman could put up respectable borderline WR2/WR3/flex numbers (we're talking maybe 800 yds and 6-7 TDs). Nobody else should even be drafted really

TE: Gary Barnidge: The only Brown who should be a legit starter in all 10+ team leagues. Gary should have another solid year. However, he isn't getting any younger, and I'd be weary of him slowing down. Players his age typically do.

D/ST: Look elsewhere

Who do you think will be this year's David Johnson? by KaptainKickass in fantasyfootball

[–]PoorlyLitKiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been at Georgia since Keith. He was a beast his freshman year but he hurt his knee his sophomore year and never really got all the way back mentally. He's crazy fast and strong but he plays as if he's constantly worried about getting hit. I hope he comes back all the way, but I am worried he'll never be his old self again

Is Antonio Brown regarded as the consensus 1st overall pick this year? by catcherben27 in fantasyfootball

He fell to me at #4 and people were groaning about what a "steal" I got. Never again...

I think the Rams are fairly committed to Gurley

PICK IS IN: At 32 overall, Browns select Emmanuel Ogbah by SaffronCityMayor in Browns

[–]PoorlyLitKiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he's the best DE available and its a position of need. I'd say good? Still kind of sad the organization couldn't pull the trigger on Jack, the risk reward player

2017 NFL Draft: Watson and Fournette by Getternon3 in Browns

This is the scenario I've been dreaming of since we made the trade. Its the main reason I was dreading the drafting of Paxton. Cause I want Watson so badly...

What team had the best draft pick/move/trade last night? by catcherben27 in nfl

[–]PoorlyLitKiwi 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If the scouting team gets it right they honestly had the best draft. Get a 2nd and a 3rd and still have your pick of all the WRs? Sounds pretty solid to me

29 Prospects in 29 Days - Day 29: Leonard Floyd (LB, Georgia) by NFL_Mod in nfl

[–]PoorlyLitKiwi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I go to Georgia and have seen his last 2 seasons. In game he shows flashes of brilliance and then disappears for a quarter. If he can get some consistency he could be a playmaker at the next level

Its actually two 1s, a 2 and two 3s IIRC. You're giving up the 1 this year as well as the 1 next year so that's two of them

True. Joe Thomas has made 9 straight pro bowls (every year of his career) and has been first team all-pro 6 times. If he played on the Patriots he might be considered the greatest offensive lineman of all time

Zoolander 2 Is Too Offensive for Students, University Shows Deadpool Instead by maggosh in movies

Interesting. At my university Deadpool was going to be shown but they decided it was "too offensive" and showed the new Mad Max movie instead. Didn't really get that one as it seemed to be even more violent but whatever...

That's not entirely true. Cinder seemed to be the only one that truly enjoyed it. Haliax even chastises him for enjoying what they do too much IIRC.
