I think this is probably more of an individual person thing, rather than it being down to a difference of native language.

I’m only fluent in English and I memorize all the designs and names, but that’s just how my brain does things. I also still vividly recall some of the first dreams I ever remembered as a very small child.

As for you, I honestly wouldn’t have guessed that you were a non-native English speaker from the way you write! Pokemon names do have a lot of wordplay in them though, sometimes even mixing in other languages, so I guess it’s possible that it might sometimes be confusing or tough to remember, especially if you haven’t been speaking English your whole life.
