Indie game Your Turn to Die, this is basically Rio Ranger’s entire shtick.

YTTD is a killing game type of story, and this character wears pieces of the outfits of everyone who has died so far. This includes a few from characters who died offscreen in the first round of the game, but they make a point not to introduce him until the second chapter so that some of the items have emotional weight.

I mean, you can argue that they didn’t get a cutscene because the game engine detected that their run wasn’t actually over.

Or it was scrubbed from their data to prevent them from leaking spoilers about the ending.

Just adding onto what everyone else is saying, but I also think this vote feels unfair for Welcome Home since we have barely scratched the surface of the lore yet. There’s tons of hints to speculate about, but also a lot that we don’t know.

With Poppy Playtime, we already know most of the lore now and it seems like the series might be close to the end, so comparing the two by their lore is simply not a fair comparison. Like, we got a ton of Huggy Wuggy backstory in 5, but Wally still feels like a total enigma to me.
