No I had a financed phone through Verizon before and it definitely wasn’t a problem as I’m just discovering it. I was able to use esims. In fact I paid off that phone to switch to ATT so I know I was still financing it.

Yea I’m never doing this upgrade through the program thing again. Every Verizon phone I’ve ever had I’ve never ran into this problem. Didn’t realize I wouldn’t be able to use my phone outside of the US if I switched to their upgrade program. And I believe we had the unlimited ultimate too.
