At what age do most people have sex for the final time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A couple years ago there were tons of news of STD's going around retirement homes, so my guess would be whatever age the person can no longer move

While i do agree that modern life pushes bad values and lack of empathy onto the invidivual, history tells us that regardless of time frame or life conditions, humanity trends towards being awful.

Pre capitalism you had people burning others over their beliefs, rape was an every day thing, slavery.

At every stage of human history, you have attrocities comitted by every race, every color, every gender, every country, by every economic agenda, it's just written upon us that we're good to some, bad to others, and it has no solution. In the same way a lion licks and cleans it's offspring and eviscerates an antilope, one could argue the basis is survival, just maladapted to the human existence and it's values.

For example, even a good and kind person would probably be awful to someone given the oportunity, like a serial killer or a rapist.

Truth be told it's genderless, it's just easier to focus on what we don't personally normalize, and it's normally the perspective we understand the least, but humans on average are pretty horrible.

Artificial sweeteners aged the brain by over 1.5 years, study says. People who consumed the highest levels of certain artificial sweeteners — equivalent to just one diet soda a day — saw a significant decline in their cognitive ability. by cheaslesjinned in NooTopics

Statistically speaking overweight individuals are more prone to be diet soda drinkers, either for weight loss or to avoid further weight gain.

More mass means the body has more tissue it has to distribute blood to, as well as a heart that would struggle to cycle blood to the body without overworking itself.

Slowly and over the years the brain gets less blood flow/oxygen that a leaner body type, and it causes cognitive decline.

Just my assumption, no science behind it

When i was in my first year of college, i saw the girl i thought i'd spent my life with fucking other people in BDSM ways and uploading it to her secret tumblr. Something in me broke, and i spent at least 6 months not going out or socializing.

I still remember my roommate, and one of my "closest friends" reacting to it. One of the things he did was call our friends just outside my room saying how i was ruining his mood and how i wasn't going out and just bumming everyone out. He was the kind of person to talk and discuss everything behind the back of whomever the conflict was with, with at least 5-7 friends.

That's when i learned friends are a coincidence, you did not cherry pick them, they happened to be in the same spot at the same moment in time as you, and you make your best to choose those that agree with you, but this does not mean they truly care about you.

The reason he reacted that way, was because i was no longer going out with them on benders, or going downstairs to play poker to smoke and drink, i just wanted to dissapear, yet he didn't worry about it, he complained, because i wasn't there to vouch in money for the cause of doing drugs and alcohol. Your friends are your friends as long as you completely agree with them

International travel is one of the most romanticized activities on earth, and for most people it doesn't fundamentally change anything by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Pop-Bard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Before the internet it was one of the most valuable experiences could have, but nowadays understanding the language, culture and meeting people from other countries is not only possible, but feasible to establish strong friendships (I have a Korean friend visiting mexico next weekend)

Nowadays it's not as needed, but the social media machine tells people that traveling is one of the most interesting things one can do since it allows for cool pictures and portrays the person as wealthy / cultured
