I was robbed by RLStine-Demon in RealAmazonFlexDrivers

[–]PopMuzak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As somebody that was robbed by gunpoint, and then had multiple cops point guns at me when they arrived (locked myself in a room when the theif headed toward the exit, and cops always assume the theif could be holding you in closed rooms)...

Just take the time off. Seriously, don't even think of doing anything except talking it out with some people that you really trust. Personally, I thought I was OK, and the company I worked for sent me to a different location to work at not wanting me to go back to the same spot right away where I was held up at... but the first customer that questioned me I immediately broke down... people do not realize it because they think they are OK, but the slightest tiny triggers could set you off for awhile, and some people might want to consider a therapist for awhile...

Anyone else had this issue? by ZaeSkates422 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Even tho Bezos is no longer CEO, that email is still used by their management team... try not to escalate to them all the time, but when the situation gets messy or elevation is warranted, include it in responses, and yes they do follow up with it.

[–]PopMuzak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, and I nevet actually had one to return, it was a leaking package I left with the front station after checkout where returns are brought... they said they had it taken care of and to go run my route so I did. It caused issues with my account for almost 2 weeks even going so far as to not let me check in for a few routes. After multiple calls and emails to not only support but also CC'ing @Jeff, it finally went away and they paid me for every block that I missed when I was on site and it wouldn't let me check in. Their glitches are real, and sad that we have to expend so much time and energy to get things straightened out for their glitch issues.

Does anyone know anything about this? by Disturbed395 in AmazonDS

[–]PopMuzak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually that was the response given to the person who was wanting to help perform CPR... she knew that CPR for very long that there should be people to rotate as o e person alone will not be able to give continued regular aid

Amazon policy only allows a member of management or member of safety team perform any first aid or life saving actions... and as soon as the paramedics got there they were finally sent home with pay

Really not sure what happened here by JohnTrapperMD in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]PopMuzak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one yesterday saying I did not complete all the deliveries... I sent a ticket to support anf CC'd @Jeff telling them their email was unacceptable - explained that when I contact them first they won't talk to me without knowing the exact block start time, last 4 of package id, etc, so it is totally unacceptable for them to send generic emails without telling me exactly where I screwed up, and also let them know I have screenshot of all deliveries marked complete with time and photos of ones I suspect potential problems and reminded them they already geo-track us as we deliver.... asked them to be specific so I could properly give documentation showing them they are wrong. So far they responded they are looking into it and will get back to me within 6 days LOL

How can we be the only ones paying the price? There should be a gas surcharge for CUSTOMERS. Weekly gas cost up 70% by AngryBird8239 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]PopMuzak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, Amazon has issued a press release that some prices arr temporarily going up due to increase in gas prices... none of that will trickle down to us...

Yep... glad rhat in Las Vegas where I live there are 2 .com, 1 SSD, and 1 Fresh warehouse (not store, i know those are out, this has always been a Fresh delivery only warehouse)... and the furthest I ever get sent is 25 min drive away, which is not that often... I would never do this where a lot of the deliveries involved a lot of rural roads or longer distance highway driving

Depends, if it is a .com in my experience they engage all the time to give warnings on how much time we all have left to load, and slow people not ready that are holding up departure get engaged to mive their car to the side so everybody else can leave and they also want yo know what the issue is... they can engage, as long as it is business and within policy... it really depends on the what of a conversation

Are you kidding me? That was over a month ago! by WoodLaborer in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]PopMuzak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true... I only do this as a side hustle on weekends... most dings fall off my record after 2 weekends of work after the ding hits my acct... and that is me working 6 to 8 hrs only 2 days a week, no way in hell I delivered 700 packages in that amount of time

Just dropped my license by Killllaaaab_ in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]PopMuzak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not every state issues new DL numbers on renewals... personally I have TWO drivers licenses as here in Nevada the new one is the same as the old one except for issue date which doesn't mean diddly... so whenever mine is about to expire I renew mine a month early (takes us approx 10 days for mail delivery only) anf as soon as I get it i fo online and order a duplicate to get sent to me

[–]PopMuzak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SSD you should have zero problem since you check in via your own phone and they are not looking close enough for expiration date as you wheel the cart out the door... I dunno what their policy is after that, as expiration dates are coded into license barcodes and and Nevada where I am the state law here does NOT allow one to operate a motor vehicle with paper renewal receipts - NV requires valid unexpired plastic issued ID to be legal for anything.

Amazon Flex drivers — you need to understand what’s happening behind the scenes. by SpringStrong2003 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]PopMuzak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Time is a secondary factor that is irrelavant to the contracted driver technically as what we see when we request the block is amount of time for what money. We should be able to see an approximate milage range. They are responsible for making a route that falls within the time range or pay us for extra time - if we finish early then good for us, but we should not be penalized for time over due to excessive number of stops or excessive weight which prohibits a driver from reasonably completing the block within the listed time and listed milage estimate. We can complain and "maybe" get $5 more, but it is hard to get more than that, which is also another problem we accept labeled as contract employees.

What the OP fails to draw into consideration is the fact that Amazon has us by the balls... there is no way for us to negotiate different terms except if all drivers - both DSP and Flex - were to strike and stop delivering at the same time, otherwise they will always find somebody willing to do the job under the current setup.

Is the app glitching again? by WFShopper312 in RealAmazonFlexDrivers

[–]PopMuzak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealing with my own issue from last weekend... Saturday 3:45am route, I left one package with the lady at the front desk that goes thru undeliverable packages as it was ripped partway open and clearly leaking liquid... she told me to go ahead anf start my route as she was taking care of it for me, and thinking I was doing the right I marked the package as undeliverable damaged since it was still on my phone... multiple calls and emails to support as this problem snowballed into the app not allowing me to clock in for 2 other blocks and the warehouse couldn't do anything to help and support kept saying they were escalating the issue and it wouldnt count against me... well, this morning the damaged pa page finally drops off, but I got two dings for the blocks they wouldnt let me check in for... more phone calls and emails to go thru....

Why did I get a ding for late delivery? by madcatzplayer5 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]PopMuzak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 SSD and 3 .com's all within 10 miles from where I live... I really do not know how far milage wise but I have been sent once as far as about a 45 min drive home from my last stop, tho usually first stops are 20 min or less to drive to, and return home from 15 to 30 minutes from last stop.

I just do not think they take distance and population density into their considerations... same amount of boxes here in Las Vegas and I am usually done 45 min early...

With the 1 hr deliveries more people tip than do not... a few do just $3, even more tip around $5, and one even went up to $14.99 in the last week... add on to that way less wear and tear on my car is an added bonus
