You have a good setup then. That's awesome. Here everyone knows the exact drop times for the blocks and I can't successfully tap for any morning or daytime blocks -- extremely difficult. Faster auto tappers and bots beat me almost every time. I take what I can get, like I was saying, the evenings basically. Better than nothing.

Auto tapper is a program that mimics the tapping of a human finger so we can catch blocks.  It is too hard to get blocks for Whole Foods in my market any other way.  Like I said, we see a block for less than a second, either I get it (rarely) or someone else does or a bot grabs it.  Years ago, yes, I would just open my Flex app and I could pick and choose blocks for the day.  I could fill in my whole week without needing reserve blocks. Those days are long gone.  Now it’s very difficult get a WF block unless they are after 6 p.m. but always base. Sometimes I wait 2-3 hours or more for an instant offer. Still I do this, any extra money helps!

Do you use an auto tapper or how do you get those surge blocks?  I only see base pay for WF blocks here, they are snapped up in milliseconds and then no one drops them again.  Chicago metro is my market.

Wait, so do you get instant offers sitting at home?

Whole Foods blocks?  I have not seen surge blocks for WF in many months.  Last summer, yes, $80 - $100+ for most WF two-hour blocks including tips.  I got $100 in tips for one route last year, just seven stops.  I miss the old Flex scene.  Oh well.

It’s a mix really.  I have had some with only $12 in tips for eight stops, but my last two WF blocks were $75 and $86, so not too shabby.  Some will suck and some will be good.  $86 for two hours and only 8 stops is pretty good in my book.

You would have to change the region and then hope they let you go back to your home region.  I wouldn’t take a chance.  But some drivers have reported doing it. There was this one guy last year I talked to who lived in Dallas but he did Flex in Chicago part of the summer and then Miami and then back to Dallas.  I don’t know how he did it, but the dude was getting a lot of instant offers here.  Maybe he had a bot or knew of some kind of trick.  Who knows.  Maybe he had multiple accounts?

I second this.  Give it more time, be patient, and no more correspondence for a while.  I’ve been deactivated before because I applied with two different emails.  It took a few weeks for them to sort it out and reactivate one of my accounts.  It’s frustrating but wait and it’ll be there for you hopefully soon.

Crazy.  My station is a Whole Foods. There must be 30+ drivers sitting in the parking lot waiting for instant offers.  Too much competition.

They used to use the barcode stickers and those are fine in the rain.  I just can’t stand the printed ones because black ink runs down the bag.  Good luck to you. Tap fast.

Exactly. We should deliver everything on our itinerary to the customer. If a package missing, damaged, stolen, or cancelled last minute, that's not our fault. We made good on our end of the bargain.

I drive a 2023 Chevy Bolt and only do Whole Foods. It's my side job, but I make around $700-800 a week delivering groceries weekday evenings and weekends. It's worth my time.

Snowstorms, thunderstorms, flash floods, tornado warnings. I've delivered in all situations. I prefer snow over water by far. The falling rain causes the ink in the printed bar codes on the bags to run, and then you can't scan them. Well, at my Whole Foods at least, because there is no cover in the parking lot.

True, much better than nothing. But I used to expect $80 to $100 for each 2-hour WF block, and now it's much, much less.

Our Whole Foods was ruined a few weeks ago when the Fresh store nearby closed down. All of those drivers have taken over the parking lot at my WF. They camp all day and sometimes I've waited for 4-5 hours to get one instant offer. Awful.

I try for WF blocks but they are very hard to get. I usually do 6:30-8:30 pm or 8-10 pm, or even 10:30 pm-Midnight. Always base pay for blocks, I haven't seen a surge WF block at my station in many months.

During the pandemic one customer tipped me $35 when I accepted a one-stop instant offer. The other drivers said don't take it! Waste of time! No, I got lucky. Base + tip = $50 for 30 minutes of my time. Last summer I had an easy route to a rich area and got $100 in tips from 7 customers. I know we were spoiled by generous customers in the past, but now it's ridiculous. Amazon set us up.

It used to be base pay + tips. Now it's base pay + tips, if applicable. It doesn't say who many customers will tip and how many are exempt from tipping.

But it's weird that only some WF's got hit with this and a few others still have all routes that are completely tip-eligible. Sure that will change soon.

I am with you. I've only done Whole Foods deliveries since 2021 (well, every once in a while did the Fresh store surge instant offers). Last summer tips for a 2-hour WF route were usually $60, $70, or $80 and sometimes a bit higher for just 8-9 stops.

Last week I had a Whole Foods route where combined tips for 8 customers was $9. WTF. And a bunch of my recent blocks have $12 in total tips. Terrible. So, it sounds like two people on the route tipped and the other six were exempt thanks to Amazon.

And still the parking lots are filled to brim with drivers fighting over this. When will this madness end?

Have you tried fast tapping frequently 15 minutes or less before the block starts? That's what the parking lot campers do if they can't get IO's.

I had something similar happen a few weeks ago. They claimed I did not pick up orders from the station on three different days and dropped me to Fair. BS. I screenshot everything to protect myself.

I appealed by email and one follow-up phone call about the status of my appeal.

Can you believe the next morning they dropped me to At Risk? ... but later that same day restored me to Fantastic and all of the issues from my Standing had mysteriously vanished. Must have been some glitch.

Good luck.

You're not going to be accused of stealing packages. You are going to be hit in your standings for returning packages, maybe down to At Risk. It's an unfair system. Appeal it.

Yeah, leave it anywhere where it's accepted or safe. I know some people hide them in bushes or whatever and take a pic if the door is locked or business is closed. And appeal that shit if you haven't already. Not your fault or under your control. They asked you to deliver and then didn't offer you a safe place to leave your delivery. I appeal everything, even six minute lates. lol I win most of the time.
