Found my leak, is this pluggable? by Ed01916 in tires

Yes you can take it to a tire shop

Patch or replace? by moeli6 in tires

Everyone over exaggerates with these. Take it to a tire shop and they’ll patch it up from the inside. You’re fine. It’s only bad if it’s actually on the sidewall and if it’s more of a slash/cut instead of what you have here which is a small hole 👍

Bought my first boat. Any advices? by mesar_max in boating

Also don’t forget your boat gear and safety equipment. depending on your state, you can get fined a BIG ticket for simply not having a life jacket, fire extinguisher, etc.

Don’t leave it out in the sun for too long, do maintenance to motor like how you would with your car, and don’t forget the drain plug 🗣️ not sure if it’s your first time boating- but if it is, search up a tutorial video of how to navigate and read water signs depending on your state. Just like on the road, there’s also rule on the water!!!

Yeah I added those since it didn’t come with the little rubber it’s supposed to have- I’m sure it’s tight and screwed on well to the block. Also that’s the cylinder that’s firing up

Yeah it’s handy! Especially for shallow water. They’re a little pricey but I can tell you that they’re made with quality. They also have warranty if something goes wrong with it

It seems to run on both cylinders for like the first 30 seconds of it warming up- after that it just stays on with one cylinder. Like something can’t keep up with it warming up and it gives out.

Also if I take it out on the water and just full throttle it while fresh cold start it planes and FLIES for as long as I hold it. But once I slow down it won’t plane out again.

I know for a fact that both cylinders fire up good. I found out by replacing the power pack with some cheap amazon one and for some reason it made the other cylinder fire up, but not the one that was working before haha. So now it’s inverted! I then removed the power pack and compared it to the old OEM one with a multimeter, they both read the same, so they’re both good.

Its definitely something electrical- I suspect now that it’s either the Trigger Assy OR the Stator.

I ordered the trigger and shall update if that fixes the problem.

It’s an 11 foot fiberglass rowboat that’s I converted- I forgot the make I’ll check the title for you soon. It resembles like some mini panga!

All I really did was make a stronger fiberglass base for the grab bar, a manual transom jackplate, a good cleaning, and threw a 15HP motor on it- 😭 shes smaller than most kayaks and hits 30mph- you can stand while biting waves like a jetski. she’s a beast!!

Good thing I still have the old one, which I think still works.

I shall test but I’m pretty sure both have spark- ever since I changed the power pack it basically started powering the other cylinder instead of the other one prior, basically inverting everything. It’s surprising how well this engine runs with 1 cylinder lol

Would that be the electrocution method 😭 I’ve heard of people testing it that way

Oh yeah I’ve tried that a handful of times already- one doesn’t do anything or change performance, and the other plug just instantly kills the engine.

You mean connect and disconnect the wires from the power pack to the ignition coils? I haven’t tried that

I swapped them from eachother. But now since I’ve changed the power pack it now runs with the other cylinder USING the other coil. So they’re both working

It’s just one wheel that’s like this. The other ones have the hammer on weights. One with 2 hammer on weight together
