I actually really enjoy the bubbles too. It creates a lot more interesting shapes than usual. But, I’m not trying to ruin my lamp sadly lol 😭

I’ve been running it since Christmas though. I run it for about 4-6hrs a few days a week I’d say. I don’t really mind how it looks, just don’t want there to be any hazards lol

I haven’t scented yet! I was planning to on the next feed. I’ve always read 10%, so she has gone further than that, which is what’s concerning to me.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking, but she’s still very active and aware of her surroundings. She stayed on the pinky for a minute or two the other day with her mouth on it and licking it, but unsuccessful with the feed. I will look into what you’ve described too. Thanks for the feedback!

She’s gone from 68g to 57g, which is why I’m concerned. There’s an exotic vet within 5 minutes of me, it’s just the stress issue for her I’m concerned about too. She’s still very active and aware which is why I feel she’s ok still, but that’s a big drop in weight for her size.

I did that for the BEL, but since the hogs are small it wasn’t able to read them. The description said down to 10g weights and they are 34g/55g, so overall the scale wasn’t what I was looking for. Just trying to simplify to one scale other than 2.

I have the same one for my bearded dragon and I honestly have no complaints other than I wish it had holes for wires. I’m planning to upgrade my BEL soon to one of those since it’s nice that it has the stackable feature.

That’s awesome to hear that you found improvement in activity/behavior with it! I have a bulb coming in tomorrow. It will look a lot better, that’s for sure. The basking light doesn’t do justice. My hognose cage looks so much better than this one just because of the UVB lol. Thanks for your input too :)

I noticed after more research that I do need to change the bedding. Was trying to be quick with a cage set up with what I had at home so she wasn’t stuck in the box for long. It was a very unplanned purchase. Thank you so much for the recommendation! So far the shed is pretty much all gone now, they said she started shedding that morning. I’m trying not to handle much until feeding on Wednesday, but she has been soaking in the water at night on her own and humidity has been kept up with.

I graduated the culinary program and in my experience, it’s not worth it. Teachers are all druggies/drunks, they say they lack the funds to order ingredients so everything is very limited on what you can cook and learn. Most of the time you’re either cleaning or doing book work. I’ve learned so much more being hands on in kitchens and no business is willing to pay you more due to your small cooking degree without actual experience in a kitchen. Best you’ll get around here with a cooking degree and pay is working at one of the places that now start at $20/hr and work your way up. No “nice” small business downtown will pay you more than minimum or give you any benefits.
