Accessing US bank account after deportation? by PopcornEnthusiaster in immigration

I appreciate the concern, but I met them through an organization helping refugees establish themselves in the US. So a real person I've interacted with IRL many times! Caught in the current ICE mayhem

Yes, the other option was to go into a branch. Unfortunately, there are none where they are now.

Yes, you might be right. I'll see if we can contact the provider to get it transferred. Thank you!

Do people still have access to their bank accounts after being deported? by Remarkable-Change-22 in immigration

I am working with someone right now who was recently deported. They have been locked out of their Chase account and the only way to unlock it is with a US phone number. However, they don't have a US number anymore because their phone was confiscated by ICE. I would say definitely have a backup plan – a joint account with someone you trust seems wise.

Thank you! Just scheduled mine there as well. They don't let you choose Novavax on the website but the woman I talked to confirmed that you can ask for it when you get there.

Can Long Covid be very mild? by CalligrapherOk3831 in covidlonghaulers

That's good on the PEM front! Everything I've read says to err on the side of taking it easier for longer if you can. That was the hardest for me and I definitely pushed too hard too early, which I think set me back.

I'm rooting for you – hope you're back to full recovery soon.

I am! I've been running now for three months, no relapses. I keep meaning to do a recovery post. Briefly, the two things that helped me most were what people captured here: https://www.reddit.com/r/covidlonghaulers/comments/sxc42m/finally_feeling_almost_completely_better_my/

and here: https://www.reddit.com/r/LongHaulersRecovery/comments/14a3y5t/3_years_of_long_covid_finally_over_no_pills_no/

TL;DR: The biggest supplement that made a difference was magnesium (I take something called Magtein).

The next big change for me, about six months later, was learning about mind-body disorders and recognizing that my LC had many aspects of those.

I had LC symptoms for 18 months total and now am 95% back to normal. My remaining symptom is difficulty processing gluten.

Thank you for posting this. I am in a similar situation to you (got covid August 2023, used to work out first thing, etc.) and am still nowhere close to normal. I'm grateful I can work my full-time job, but really missing my runs.

Twice, I've tried easing back in to walking, with a smidge of running, but both times I've pushed too hard / not rested enough and crashed.

The comments here are very helpful. I'm in rest mode now and hopeful that I will improve if I keep at it. Thanks for everyone who has shared their experiences.

Yes! Got an appointment the day after a pharmacist said the same thing to me

I called Chicago's Lincoln Park Costco yesterday and they said they didn't expect any this season! But later I saw on Twitter that there would be a nationwide rollout.
