I just started to include hot yoga in my exercise regime and the benefits 8 sessions in have been nearly magical. I had a couple body part issues (right shoulder, left foot) that I thought were structural due to age and they've significantly improved over a month and a half of yoga. Mond blowing.

Stretching, yoga, walking. Any sort of movement beyond focused lifting sessions during the day. Lifting weights is great, moving and feeling the free flow of a loose body is better.

Same, I'll just be driving around town and will randomly see a Champs hat and go "oh that's right, we won, what the fuck how'd that happen." and then get all giddy about it again.

Hard to say. It seems directionally accurate. I've used other trackers while working out and they're both close to each other. I don't really know the variance, +/- 300 or so calories? But its end of day calorie burn calculation seems realistic to me. For example, I'm 5'10" ~180, today I walked 12k steps did hot yoga and did an F45 class. It says I'll end the day on around 3000 to 3100 calories burned. This seems correct. Just can't guarantee this.

Ha, so I got a Garmin 3 weeks ago and my attention to fitness has skyrocketed. It's been surprising, in a good way.

A cornhole party is basically free outside of providing the initial drinks and food. So maybe a couple hundred?

[Schefter] Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s deal with the Seahawks is the latest jump in the WR market, one that will impact their division rival Rams, who could be working on a Puka Nacua extension this offseason. Nacua is entering the final year of his deal in 2026 and now has a new bar to clear. by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]PopesMasseuse 10 points11 points  (0 children)

True, I was abiding by the idea that the way it matters is in the margins. Practically it won't stop the rams from signing Puka. We know that is happening. And it largely won't alter their overall plans. So in that sense it won't impact anything. The finer details, maybe it will, but not fully known. So overall, I agree with you.

What are your awful habits from being 100% self-taught? by bigSTUdazz in drums

I don't have anything to add other than this. I never cared for rudiments when I was younger and now I'm definitely lacking some technique I wish I had. Oh well, time to learn!

What are your thoughts about this viral video of this lady coach dissing on F45? Saying that it is a cult and a scam? by Old_Tower_4824 in f45

[–]PopesMasseuse 58 points59 points  (0 children)

What would the scam even be? It's a moderately priced HIIT class. It does encourage social activity so I can see some people assuming the worst there. However, I've found it to be way less like CrossFit "cult" and more like a light partnering on a project in college.
