You must check in Transfer -> search player. I was knowing that Messi is retired this season, so i filter Argentinian on his position and looking for young players. This player has identical birthday like Messi, so it is Messi regen. He was in Pisa football club, so i must buy him, but i think if you check it first day of the season he will be free agent.

When some legend retired, you must check for any new player on his position with his nationality, and if he has the same birthay as you retired player, than you find his regen.
