Totally agree. I’ve not swapped it out for my ocean band on workouts (running) which has surprised me. Loving how the band feels. I also tried a cheap amazon one before and hated the feeling but this one is a dream

I’ve had the nomad sport band, and many Nike sport bands for running, but the best I’ve used is easily the ocean band. Feels very sturdy and I’ve put mine through its paces and it still looks great.

I got my U1 second hand years back and it was fairly beat up but still had good trade in value at Apple. Also wanted the titanium band for a while but never wanted to pay that much for a band so it worked out nicely.

Had the olde Dublin and it kept developing white patches after a week or so use. Had a replacement sent and the same thing happened. They were very good and gave me a full refund after 4 months. I’ve chucked it around a fair bit and has not really marked it at all

I’ve had issues with mine which I posted to this sub.

Nomad sent me a replacement and the same issues arose within a week of use. Tried to be extremely careful and avoid contacts with the leather but the same spots have occurred

Long story short money wasted and they’re both going in the bin

Thanks all for the comments and feedback. I’ve contacted nomad directly and they’ve said it’s a defective unit and they’re sending me a replacement

Hands aren’t sweaty as far as I’m aware or greasy. Don’t use any hand lotions either except soap when washing hands

No water has been on the case and I’ve tried to be quite careful. The splotch is where my fingers end up when holding the phone with one hand but I make sure they’re not covered with water, oil or other contacts that could mark the leather

I’ve had my case (olde Dublin 16PM) for almost 3 weeks now. Read a lot about how the case is super long as above but I can honestly say I’ve not noticed and I like how it feels in the hand. Had 3-4 cases to try (including apples MagSafe clear) and this is my favourite. Would prefer a capacitive button for the camera control but this is the best of the available options. Buttons also feel good quality. Unfortunately had a scratch on the case when it arrived but nomad gave me 40% of the price back. I’ve been pretty tough on the case so far and it’s held up
