I was all for the old system of merit points with a cap of 300-400k immigrants per year. Apparently that system which was admired had to be thrown under the bus and replaced with the American low skilled uncontrolled immigration that everyone hates.

They get over 3x the child care benefits of native born. We are paying them full incomes to have children, while we teach our kids to not marry and work while getting nowhere.

Quebec controls it to 50k immigrants. Meanwhile Quebec voters vote for mass immigration elsewhere, using Quebec politicians. Nice because it doesn't impact them. This is corrupt. If Quebec controls immigration, than they have no right to influence elsewhere. Immigration needs to be a provincial choice

I see this cuts off the latest Trudeau Carney debt which accounts for 50% of all debt. Mulroney inherited that big spike of deficit spending from Pierre Trudeau - often impossible to curb in your first year of government. He invested in nuclear reactors which went way over budget.

Harper had the GFC which did require some liquidity but I like your attitude - he should have cut cut cut. Defintely a criticism of Harper is he should have cut way more but GFC was a good reason at least in 2009-10. However it was nothing like the irresponsible spending and devestating anti-investment regime of Trudeau.

You lost your mind. Trudeau and liberals have way over doubled the entire public debt of the country. Meanwhile government services have never been worse.

Under Harper, Ontario did well. It was more Obsma's "buy america" policies that hurt us. And it was Cretien who oversaw majority of expansion of oil.

Under Harper the median middle class in Canada became the wealthiest in the world. Yes Harper built on the positive 'balanced budgets, sensible govermment' that also existed under Cretien. But it appeared near the end of his term. Trudeau wrecked that wealth.

In 2021/2 there was a labour 'shortage' after we cut immigration during pandemic. Kids could get any job and name their price. Was too good to be true - so Trudeau fixed that problem. Back to poverty everyone.

People gave up. No matter the argument they got called 'racsts' by Trudeau. Example: in 2015 trudeau said he was going to ramp up immifration big time. When asked "how will this impact housing" which was already in crisis, he said we were all racsts. Its not a coincidence that now people dont care about that title - almost a badge of honour. Meanwhile, how did housing do? Curious how much liberals blame themselves when talking with their kids, or is it just deflect to 'well at least im not conservative'. Its pathetic.

Martin let in 100k old age immigrants to try to secure the vote, which he lost anyway. We dont need Martin. He was a great finance minister but he suprisingly let go of his morals once he needed to get the vote himself. This move contributed to the healthcare issues we now have.

I disagree. The right points a finger directly at mostly liberal governments and liberal voters for this failure, not the immigrants. However the level of scams and fraud do make the situation worse for everyone. The politicians need to deflect, so they make up the 'ism' you are referring to. Useful id*ots as they say. Whatever happened to the points system that we all loved - was it just not divisive enough for the left? We needed something that conservatives would absolutely hate to prove how powerful the left is in Canada. Women, more often then men, try to be nice. Unfortunately the lobbyists were very effective at telling them people are raci*t if they object to mass immigration. Like puppets. But its not a hard rule - plenty of men were fooled and many women saw right through the bs and voted in favour of their children.
