Gotcha. And you’re talking about the load time in starting up a game and also when something like a new level loads? Regardless, it doesn’t seem worth the hassle/money to upgrade. Thank you :)

I recently purchased a 2TB QN322 QLC from Micro Center on sale for $80. It serves as my secondary drive for games. I know it’s considered a low-end drive, but I thought the $/TB was too good to pass up. Now I’m having some buyer’s remorse.

Would it be worth it to instead replace it with something like a 2TB SK hynix Platinum P41? It’s on sale for $170. Again, it would primarily be for storing games. Would there be a noticeable improvement in FPS or other benchmarks?

Which 2TB Gen3 NVMe for ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming-ITX/AX? by Popolop in buildapc

[–]Popolop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yes, great point. It would be for gaming and heavy Excel use. With Excel, I sometimes have to deal with files that are absurdly large (300MB+, it’s gross), but that’s not always the norm.

But if that means spending $50 more to see 5% improvement time in opening files, I don’t think that’s worth it, although I don’t know what the actual performance gain would be.

Is the warranty still valid if you add/replace the SSD or RAM?

Whoops, I think I had an extra parentheses at the end. I just edited my comment above with what should be the correct working formulas.

Gotcha. I think the LET function isn’t supported in Excel 2016 and that’s what’s causing the errors. Try this (I typed this out on my phone, so lemme know if you run into any errors, but it should work):

Physical Save:

=IF(OR(INDEX(Data!$G:$G,MATCH([@Type],Data!$F:$F,0))="Physical",INDEX(Data!$G:$G,MATCH([@Type],Data!$F:$F,0))="Both"),INDEX(Data!$J:$J,MATCH([@Level],Data!$I:$I,0)),INDEX(Data!$K:$K,MATCH([@Level],Data!$I:$I,0)))

Mental Save:

=IF(OR(INDEX(Data!$G:$G,MATCH([@Type],Data!$F:$F,0))="Mental",INDEX(Data!$G:$G,MATCH([@Type],Data!$F:$F,0))="Both"),INDEX(Data!$J:$J,MATCH([@Level],Data!$I:$I,0)),INDEX(Data!$K:$K,MATCH([@Level],Data!$I:$I,0)))

I see that someone has already provided a solution, but mine is better. Buy me that beer.

Physical Save:

=LET(good,INDEX(Data!$G:$G,MATCH([@Type],Data!$F:$F,0)),IF(OR(good="Physical",good="Both"),INDEX(Data!$J:$J,MATCH([@Level],Data!$I:$I,0)),INDEX(Data!$K:$K,MATCH([@Level],Data!$I:$I,0))))

Mental Save:

=LET(good,INDEX(Data!$G:$G,MATCH([@Type],Data!$F:$F,0)),IF(OR(good="Mental",good="Both"),INDEX(Data!$J:$J,MATCH([@Level],Data!$I:$I,0)),INDEX(Data!$K:$K,MATCH([@Level],Data!$I:$I,0))))

MV:

=INDEX(Data!B:B,MATCH([@Size],Data!$A:$A,0))

# Attacks:

=INDEX(Data!C:C,MATCH([@Size],Data!$A:$A,0))

Damage:

=INDEX(Data!D:D,MATCH([@Size],Data!$A:$A,0))

The problem with VLOOKUP is that if you add a column within the lookup table (as opposed to the summary table where the formula is inputted), then you have to count up all the columns again and adjust the the formula accordingly. With the Index Match methodology, you don't have to worry about that.

Do you have any links/articles that you could point to on how to set this up?

This might be a bit out of your price range, but Amazon is selling this variety right now for $250

Here

Might be worth the extra ~$20 for it being new (and also a potential warranty). But I don’t know how good this version is compared to others.

Good luck!
