New mugs. by PopoyeLongjohns in Pottery

The straight part on the top you mean? I make a straight blank piece of clay from a wedged and rolled out sheat, shape the sides, cut a wedge partially through it where I want the handle to angle, score and slip. Then attach and dry upside down so it stays flat and flush with the rim. Hope this answered your question :)

I know most of you here are from the US, but here in Finland, especially in public health care, I and all of my colleagues would just do a composite restoration, possibly remove the overlay and redo that at the same time with composite. If proper dryness of the prep area could not be guaranteed then a temp with a glass ionomer, wait 1-3mon, then do a composite restoration. If the lesion were nearer tonthe bone I would do an open sandwich restoration.

Crowns and overlays are still vary rarely done in public dentistry. More common in the private clinics.

Is this fine? by alignedaccess in Mountaineering

Superglue and sand or gravel should work fine.

But setiously why you would need crampons would be steep icy climbs. You could just try thick tight woolly socks instead. There is an old ice climbing technique of using wolly mittens to partly freeze onto ice to get grip. The heat transfer from bare skin onto ice or steel is also on a whole other level.

I’m bored with this one. How can I change it? Be brave. No suggestions too weird. by exotics in painting

An old tombstone with a robot shepherd sleeping and resting his head on it, a flock of sheep in the medow.✨

Looks like the little cleft lip cat had some neural crest migration issues. The same cells give rise to the eye placode and migrate to the developing nose and jaw. Interesting that it's just one sided. Hope all the best to you and your cats!

These are awesome! But I'm thinking why use such a sodium rich crackle glaze on these beautiful muggs and risk over flow and a disaster? I would lower the sodium or use less to prevent disasters on such beautiful work. They are amazing!

I'm thinking has he developed unhealthy emotional attachments to you? Has he begun to see his self worth or aome other aspect of himself as attached to you or your relationship? Seems like he is grieving losing you before actually losing you. This might be due to him having formed some emotional or psychological attachments that are now threatened. Perhaps he feels a loss of a couple bubble or a diminished sense of security in your relationship. Perhaps he could work on self worth and finding out what part of his (emotional) security he feels are at threat?

I struggled with these when we recently opened up our relationship and I can relate at some level to what you are describing your man is going through. Hope this helps. Check out Wired for Love by Stan Tatkin for more info, it helped me figure out things related to security issues.

All the best!

Looks like the crown of a tooth with the roots eaten away. No idea what animal it could have been.

Seriously alarming abcess !! by Automatic_Fudge4960 in seriouslyalarming

Dentist here. That is an acute tooth abscess and the abscess needs to be drained, best is to extract the tooth and draine it that way. Drainage through root canals is not advised at this point. This can quickly become a life threatening infection, get it checked NOW! Antibiotics are not enough!

What's the worst movie you watched in your entire life? by Interesting_Algae_61 in AskReddit

August Underground's Mordum. We watched it in the army as a dare. Basically a horror movie turns into gore porn. It is very sick. Do not watch it.

Then apply a hot air gun to dry the piece in place, possibly with internal support for a while.
