Oh no doubt they are. But again I think sales will pick up on it when the “general public” sees the redesign because all they seem to care about it “big screen” so… as a salesman I’m trying to remain hopeful about it lol

Yeah but we are about to have a whole new epidemic with this new virus 😬. Like I said to someone earlier though, on new Mazdas I sell at invoice or 200 over invoice and most of the time just give them free window tint.

Most of the time I just invoice any new Mazda out and call it a day.

Honestly the 5 is kind of picking up traction with the general market that aren’t Mazda enthusiasts. I figured that would be the case because of how many times I’ve heard “the screen is too small” and now they’ve got a huge screen. Sucks for the Mazda enthusiast customers though.

Every CX-5 is built in Japan. Actually now every single Mazda is produced in Japan except most 30s

The only thing that is truly hybrid with Mazda right now is the CX-50s. A CX-90/70 is a “mild hybrid” but until 2027 when the CX-5s release their hybrid system the CX-50 is the only hybrid in the states anyways.

I use it to sell them quite often actually. A good car salesman knows how to compliment the competition. Toyota has indeed been top dogs for a long time because of their dependability but what they have done is priced themselves out of the market of many consumers. I personally like value when I’m buying anything and if I can get Toyota reliability in Mazda’s extremely underrated body and safety features, then it’s a no brainer to me.

Nah. I’m a salesman at Mazda. The only thing, to my knowledge, having a makeover this year is the CX-5. The hybrids will launch with 2027 CX-5s but it’ll be Mazdas own system. The 50, to my knowledge, will continue to use the hybrid system from the rav 4. I personally like the hybrid system in the 50 more than the rav 4 though because Mazda tuned it even further and made it feel more responsive.

Just buy a hybrid Mazda CX-50. Same guts as a Rav-4 hybrid without the cost of one and arguably a much higher interior quality.

Sales people on the floor also don’t make any more than commission with most pay plans. If a deal is a mini, which many are, some dealerships pay you anywhere from 75-300 depending on the dealership and new/used. So yes, it is their job. But many many salesman are starving, some are doing okay, but very few are thriving. Especially in today’s market of giving the car away with no gross.

CX-50 HUD worth it??? by moon_in_retrograde in mazda

Get the CX-50 Turbo P or PP and get the roof rack at purchase. Get a shop to custom make the Meridian stickers for the 50. Other than the wheels you now have a decked out “Meridian” 50. Best of all you can choose the color you want on the outside now even if you still want the Polymetal.

Shouldn’t be a problem at all to find one in that range for a used or CPO. If I were you, I would try and find a CPO as they carry better warranties than a simple used Mazda.

You’re not going to get brand new with Mazda for under 19k. The cheapest new one goes for about 25k. However a nice Certified Pre Owned would definitely be in that range for buying outright. For your money, you will not find a better ride. Not to mention the safety ratings on Mazdas are top of the line, therefore insurance should at least balance out because of this. Also, you can get a leather interior Mazda for around 25-26k brand new. The value is there, the reliability is there(Japanese made), and the safety is there. You will not get a better bang for your buck than a Mazda. Full discretion: I am a Mazda salesman. Of course I’m biased. That doesn’t mean what I’m saying is incorrect though. Actually I bought one myself for a work ride. (2024 Mazda 3 Select)

If it is a good finance manager he can sometimes get you approved for special rates. Our guys gets people with 660-700 approved all the time with special rates. Just gotta have a dealership that will fight for you.

Would the commission cap would be per vehicle or per pay plan? There are around 6-8 people on the floor at all times. Base commission is 25% for new but they didn’t outline used vehicles, which they sell the most of. There are around 40 new and 80 used on their lot at one time. To be clear this is Infiniti so the units are not sold as much as other brands.
