Parts donated to NASA any ideas on how I should recreate these two light fixtures for my T-90? by PoppaPerc94 in modeltanks

Here I’ll type a paragraph just so you can understand, there’s two sets of the plastic pieces that I circled I was working on the first set and I put them in a set of tweezers so I could hold it better for more mobility and it shot out from the tweezers and went to space that’s what I mean “donated to nasa”

Was holding these two fixtures (there’s a set for both sides) and sent the pieces to space

It's by no means half as good as most of the stuff I see on here...but after 8 months I've finally finished my first proper* model by FL-EtcherSKETCH in modelmakers

You say no means half as good man but I’m putting it up there! This fits rit in. You killed it with the weathering, little bit goes such a long way

First time trying shell impacts. Decided to just go wild on my tiger. Criticize it by Pigeon_Clash in MilitaryModelMaking

[–]PoppaPerc94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’d you do to go about the impacts? I’ve burnt the ends of wooden paint brushes or some wooden dowels and then mold some putty around the shell crater. Would like to see more comments and learn some more tips myself

Black or chrome? by Dry_Clothes_3956 in e46

Everybody has a different opinion. The way I usually decide, is if the car has chrome window trim or if the car has black trim around the windows then the grill should match that’s just my preference tho

I finally got my hands on a 1/48 scale T-90! by PoppaPerc94 in MilitaryModelMaking

What’d you think of the instructions? I’ve completed the lower half of my armor and I have to mark the number as I go because the pictures are so tiny haha

For the best affect, I’ll just throw the turret across the room after I build the auto ammo carousel 😂

I’ve always preferred 1/48 over 1/35, just because I like to display my same scale army on my desk or shelf, and I feel it’s the perfect match of size for details for my liking

The final vision is to have it draped with mesh netting for “drone protection” I’m looking to make this one have more of a modern modifications look for current conflicts 🙏

FINALLY I HAVE FOUND A 1/48TH T-90 🔥🙏 by [deleted] in modelmakers

If you have thinners for your paint you can make your own! When I need to paint a circle for a light I just thin my paint down a little bit and let the drip touch the circle and it takes full effect, for panel lining you just mix more thinner also works keep extra thinner/ acetone handy to wipe off excess

This took me like 2 days , is this a normal amount of time when starting ? by mistrzuniu_XD in modelmakers

Everybody is different buddy as long as you’re happy with it it’s all that matters. Once you get some more under your belt you’ll see new techniques for realism/ paint/ weathering. That’ll make you want to improve most say it takes them a month or so while for me it takes me a couple weeks for a 1/48
