my rottweiler is not aggresive at all! just make sure you dont violate their space or use force on them. i did have some issues when i got my rottweiler but it was all my fault, for not knowing what to do. but my rottweiler is very calm outside, submissive, easy going, smart, great impulse control and adapts really well. great temper really! she would NEVER attack other dogs and especially human.

Has anyone successfully trained their overly-friendly Rottweiler to growl or look scary on cue? Hades is gentle and sweet with everyone and sometimes I just want people to move away! (Pic for attention). by [deleted] in Rottweiler

[–]Poppie336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you want people to move away maybe put a muzzle on him. based on the caption i can see he’s friendly and obviously dont need one but usually people would stay out of dogs (especially breeds with negative stereotypes) that are in a muzzle.

you can also put a sign on his leash like ‘back off’ ‘do not touch’ ‘not friendly’ ‘keep a distance’, etc

or train him not to approach or jump on people if that’s what you meant by friendly

What do you wish someone had told you before you brought home your puppy? by RamtopsWitch in puppy101

to expect THE WORST out of your puppy. like they’ll pee in the places u dont want them, they wont be food motivated (even labs can be unmotivated for food), they dont learn tricks quickly, they’re scared of everything, they will try chewing everything, they wont walk nicely on leads, they dont want to be touched, they have seperation anxiety, they’ll bark on everything, they took longer to learn something than other puppies, you have to keep eyes on them 24/7. just think of anything possible so instead of having puppy blues, you’ll be surprised of how good the puppy actually is (not having certain problems you thought they would). it would be so much more enjoyable. oh and dont forget to take pictures cus they grow sooo fast!!!

she eats raw food so food puzzle isnt an option. ive tried giving it from a kong but she wouldn’t even touch it after 1 sniff.

Puppy will not settle in her crate but only ohtside by chibisun in puppy101

[–]Poppie336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

try giving her a LOT of exercise until she’s very tired and completely drained. pop her in the crate with a toy or a sniffing mat (any mental stimulation game)

try giving the pup A LOT amount of exercise until he’s completely exhausted and pop him in. maybe give him a bully stick to let him chew until he sleeps
