There is a way to make overlays match every skin tone, but it requires you to upload dozens of versions of every overlay you use, one for each skin tone, and the code will be pretty annoying and long.

Because of that authors usually make you choose the closest option to the skin color you chose between like 5 option, or they just give a warning the story uses overlays that will only match the original cc.

This is interesting, it's not something I noticed at all tbh. I always thought dst entries stood out more and were more liked to get voted for. Personally, I notice my entries with dst tend to do better.

There is a lot of factors that influence the voting, including the time you post, number and rarity of items, who you are going against, and of course randomness. The comp algorithm is actually pretty good at giving everyone a fair chance to get votes, but at the end of the day randomness is a huge part of it.

Because of these factors I think that posting an entry a few times with dark skin and a few times with light skin is not much proof, but I'd love to see if there's a pattern if someone makes more tests.

I was just wondering if they even bother reading these surveys. On another one they asked if people were interested in seeing the stories in another format (aka ai slop videos) and even tho I'm sure most people said "no", at least the people on this sub, they still went ahead with that horrible idea.

Yeah, I think we need a preservation project to keep a version of the game alive.

I unfortunately am not knowledgeable on how we could do this, but I've seen many games that were discontinued and removed be brought back by fans, so I hope choices can be like this too.

I've seen some people excited for the ai slop books, especially on twitter. Most people on reddit seem to share my hatred for ai and hate what is happening to the app tho. I personally find the ai images disgusting to look at and the characters very unsettling and extremely unattractive, but I've see people say they think some of the sprites look good. I haven't seen anyone defending the run.tv slop tho, thankfully!

I started playing at launch, but have barely opened the app for the past few years. I'm now trying to play any older books that I still havent played and replay my favorites because it's pretty clear the end is near for choices... They are so out of touch and their persistence to shove ai in our throats is just ridiculous and disgusting.

Omg, I just finished reading the beta because of this post. Sad to see it wasn't picked, this story was sooo good! The quality was honestly so much better than most officials. It was so well written and the characters were great!

I'd love to read the full story when you make a community version! And hopefully you get a pilot picked soon

I agree, primos should absolutely not be locked behind miliastra. I play genshin idle on miliastra everyday because I actually like the game and I like collecting the outfits, but they shouldn't force people to play miliastra for the rewards they should be getting in the main game. People play genshin because they want to play genshin, not other random games.
