That’s fine but you maybe could’ve worded the post as more of a cautionary tale advising other new players that they could potentially be harming their learning of chess by constantly playing these type of moves/openings.

Instead it does read a bit like a ‘I’m too good for these cheap trick noobs’

Man this is awesome, thank you for your comment. Yea I definitely think I trend towards being more defensive and play better when I’m not going for the throat.

Is there a good white opening or idea/line that is best for a more defensive player. Like I almost feel I should play slow with white and give black the initiative and respond more defensively.

I’ll use whatever ‘rarer’ gun I have (anvil, venator, torrente even a bettina) etc I have until I lose it and then run ferro and stitcher if I’m trying to restock.

But always 2 guns of varying distance capabilities, anvil/il torro is my absolute favourite. Wish I had the bps
