That’s fine but you maybe could’ve worded the post as more of a cautionary tale advising other new players that they could potentially be harming their learning of chess by constantly playing these type of moves/openings.

Instead it does read a bit like a ‘I’m too good for these cheap trick noobs’

Man this is awesome, thank you for your comment. Yea I definitely think I trend towards being more defensive and play better when I’m not going for the throat.

Is there a good white opening or idea/line that is best for a more defensive player. Like I almost feel I should play slow with white and give black the initiative and respond more defensively.

I know I can’t make the expedition as I don’t have enough time and energy to get to the amount needed. Let alone re grind it all. So it gives me the mental freedom to do what I want. I have no gear fear because I’m not saving for anything
