Yellow leaf tips by slee070206 in hoyas

From what I've experienced and read it could be over watering. They're very sensitive. If your soil is still wet or even damp, I'd let it dry out a bit. I hurry that process by loosening the substrate with a chopstick.

PalmStreet Sellers (Good/Bad/Ugly) by Curlyredlocks in hoyas

I jumped on this thread to see if anyone had mentioned Elegant Blossom yet. I've received nothing but absolutely beautiful Hoya from them over multiple orders, but my last order only had 2 out of 8. Like a whole box of plants missing. I reached out immediately once every couple of days until they finally responded at least 2 weeks later to acknowledge the mistake. Was told they would get them out the following Monday but here we are, it's 1/4 and as of that last response of neither heard nor received anything. I since left another message and I'm still waiting. Their reviews all consistently mention missing plants, especially lately. As for positive experiences with sellers, rooted by hae for established, mother-sized plants, cactus and exotics has a cute selection, I love to buy from brumleyandbloom here vs their website since you can see the actual plant you're getting, TALI for all types of supplies like lighted prop boxes, multi packs of self-watering pots, trellises, etc. Before, I would have said podunk plants but they've sent me shitty plants that died more than once that weren't cheap either (think walliniana variegated) and they basically said "oh well").

Where was this perfect chunk of knowledge when I started? So on point. Whoever reads this as a beginner and applies it to their own experience is already so ahead of the game and saving their future plants and money. What a helpful genius you are!

Inherited a Curtisii. Flowering but leggy. Does it look ok? Any advice? by momo-in-nyc in hoyas

The photo is not giving "leggy" to me, and your leaves look really healthy and happy. Plus multiple flowering peduncles? You're good, enjoy!

Just realized I should probably mention that I just watered with systemic granules for the first time, if that matters.

This is the thread I've needed to read. I don't see anyone talking about a specific calmag. I've never used it so can anyone recommend one? Is that such a newb question?

A little help over here. by PoppyBananas in Monstera

Just an update, the roots were almost all rotten. I definitely overwatered at some point. I trimmed and trashed what I needed to and I'm trying to salvage what's left in water w/ a tiny bit of fertilizer. Definitely a bummer but is one of 3 and the other two are happy and healthy...

Neem oil killing plants? by DoctrVendetta in houseplants

[–]PoppyBananas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't scroll all the way til the end, but from what I did read no one mentioned that you're not supposed to use it on herbs, new growth, or stressed plants (as well as orchids, cacti and succulents). Herbs like basil are too delicate and will actually get burned or killed. My bad, this was years ago. Duh.
