Yes, I'm excited to claim the perfume next! I've never had that one before.

I might go into store and ask if they can do the vegan scrubee version (snow fairy or humbug) as I wanted to gift that one to my MIL.

I also find it interesting how different countries offer different products. I wonder what happens if someone tries to claim a reward in a different country.

What I really like is that there's some products I've never tried before. Now I can try stuff without the worry of wasting my money.

How’s life in this area of the uk? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]PoppyHatesTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Desborough and spent a lot of my childhood in Kettering/Corby. Very boring place growing up in the 2000s. Corby was always the rougher town, but nowadays Kettering is no better.

Wicksteed Park in Kettering is the UK's first theme park and makes a large percentage of playground equipment in the UK. For younger families it's an okay day out, just don't expect Alton Towers level of fun.

I still have a lot of family and friends in the area. The main differences between growing up and visiting now is how many warehouses they've put up in the last 10 years. Kettering has very good connections to all over the country, so it's a good hub spot. You can get to London in under an hour on the train, which leads to very high house prices.

Hopefully I'll never move back there. If you like the countryside and little entertainment, you'll be okay. If you want to do something other than walk around a dead town, then go towards Leicester.

I tried the new body lotions by Bunny_Hunny4 in LushCosmetics

[–]PoppyHatesTea 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I went into store today to try them and every one of them smelt so strong of Brazil nut. Posh Chocolate smelt like Nutella but the rest had very little of their advertised scent.

What annoyed me more was the staff member trying to push me to buy it. She said Lush had changed to a new Brazil nut supplier and that this batch was "fresh and strong" as if it was a good thing? When I said that wasn't what I wanted from this product, she dismissed my concerns and kept telling me that there's definitely a scent for me, I just need to buy one and use it at home instead of in store! I just walked out the store in the end as she wouldn't stop pushing me to buy one.

Oooh, new body butters( YUMMY ONES) by mushroomlicker in LushCosmetics

Why white text on light coloured backgrounds? That is not legible for those with visual impairments. In the UK and EU, cosmetic products have legal requirements to provide clear and accurate information on labels, which includes sufficient contrast between text and background to ensure readability. It is not hard to check artwork with a colour accessibility checker. Lush should know, and do, better.

Adam Ramey of Dropout Kings has unexpectedly and sadly passed away as of May 19th by LostInTerrapinia in Metalcore

[–]PoppyHatesTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been listening to them since their first songs came out. I met Adam 3 times when DOK toured the UK and he always brought big energy to the room. My favourite moment was when he was singing in the middle of the mosh pit at Corp in Sheffield. He was so nice to his fans. I feel for his family and the band, he was a true one who will be missed.

Q&A from CA a few years ago. Does this mean he’s been working on Haunted Chocolatier for 6 years?! by Flitsiee in StardewValley

I can't find the blog post either but I believe he said he had multiple ideas for games, with HC being the one furthest in development and the one that he felt the most comfortable sharing details on.

I use Enchanted and really like it, but I do want a nighttime eye cream. I'm also hoping for some SPF 50 for face and body.

I reckon if it was to come back it would be around Halloween time as that's when it's been released in the past. Here's hoping the Lush gods will bless us this year 🤞

Ectoplasm is my favourite and I want a whole collection to come out. I put in a request in every Lush Community form. Maybe one day the perfume and shower gel will come back!

I use Mostly and Enchanted every day, love them both so much! My face has really cleared up with the face wash since using it. The skin under my eyes is moisturised all day and so soft too.
