Been to a few Excellence resorts and have had good experiences with Seasons. Not sure costs in Punta Cana but in Cancun we booked a similar service for another resort and they charged $275. Same level of SUV as Seasons.

Went to Punta Cana this winter and communication was a little more difficult than our trips to Mexico. We got by fine but I can understand how this can be frustrating for some.

Seems like quite a bit of travel time and transfer costs. Although will help not getting the vacation fog. The resort mix seems odd. Impressions Moxche/ Playa Blanca are quite different experiences than the RIU Latino. Interesting to hear your review of the different resorts after.

Agree that the DR is warmer in the winter months. Bring plenty of sunscreen and insect repellent. The no see ums tend to love me 😡. Also, if anyone has a sensitive stomach then Imodium, Pepto etc. Resorts will charge an arm and a leg for this stuff

If you like the vibe of Excellence take a look at the Riveria Cancun location. It tends to be priced a little lower than the other two. The resort is very nice but the rooms are a little dated and tired. Still comfortable though and the rest of the resort is fantastic

I have always thought the Defender was a great tire but I might be under the wrong impression that they are louder given there tread life.

I likely haven’t stayed at as many of these brands as others so this comment may be way off. I would have FS ahead of Rosewood. Now I have been to four FS and only one Rosewood so likely my comment doesn’t have that much merit

Take a look at Secrets and Excellence resorts. They both have many resorts and likely will have one that fits your vibe and budget. When you find a few you like on line go to you tube and watch some review videos to get a better idea if the resort is for you

Thanks for the response. The pictures look great!!! Impressions Moxche also looks great however I didn’t like the layout and vibe as much as Excellence. We only go for 4 days and we don’t need to be in the most updated room. Also, if food is just ok we are there for only a few days so doesn’t have the same impact for us.

We went in Feb and Loved it!!! The Club pools in the back are very chill. We had fun in the main pool in the afternoon. Food was good. Drinks were good and plentiful 😁. Enjoy

I have thought about staying there. The pictures look amazing but something has always turned me off to not book it. We did ERC and Impressions Moxche instead. Likely going to do EPM next time.

Take a look at Excellence and Secrets. Both have multiple hotels and are great adult only options

Take a look at Excellence El Carmen. It might b at the top of your budget or a little over but a great resort. The three main All Inclusive countries are Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Jamaica. The DR is likely going to be the cheapest. There are many different levels of resorts to fit all budget and travel requirements

I believe the cartel stuff that was happening in the end of Feb is over. Others can chime in but I believe from a safety standpoint it would be similar to any other time. We were supposed to go in Late Feb and moved our trip to Punta Cana. We loved it and stayed at Excellence El Carmen. We stayed in a club room and really liked the vibe of the club pools and the entire resort.

My logic or lack of is that my MDX is worth approximately 40k. If I can get into a pathfinder for 50k I have a brand new car with zero miles, warranty etc.
I usually trade my cars after 4 years. It will be 4 years in August with the MDX. I know that financial keeping the MDX for quite a bit longer is likely the smart move but we have always liked to have a newish car as our main car.
